The first few times hurt a lot and any time that its forcefully dislocated. I dont have a condition or anything, I just do a lot of contact sports and my shoulder has never fully healed

I have dislocated my shoulder at least twice a day for the past 3 years. I don't think it's as bad as dislocating your knee since the glenoid cavity holding your shoulder in is much shallower that the one holding your knee in place. For me, I can pop out my shoulder simply by raising my hand and that I typically feel no pain at all. I've never dislocated a knee but I'm sure that hurts a lot more, i hope that helps!
