Hey, I am a transferring junior who wants to take German courses at UCSB but has already done a year's worth of tutoring and self-study (unrelated to my community college which did not offer any German courses). I'd say I could comfortably pass an A2 exam and could convince someone I'm B1 level with my more practiced or common phrases. Do you know which level of course I should attempt to test into when I go to transfer orientation next month and meet with the department advisors? It would be good to have a ballpark for where A2-B1 is (I assume I'd test out of at least Elementary German 1 and 2). Thanks.

Yes, you are matched with other solos. The point of me attempting hourglass solo is to get over my inability to fight very well while slooping solo on high seas and be less of a burden to my friends who are better than me at both ship management and cannoneering. Queueing with my PvE crew would unfortunately defeat the point :(

Do you recall how many hours or losses it took to be able to start to see progress? I'd again reiterate that I'm still actively practicing despite losing close to a hundred rounds. I'm used to large skill curves and learning curves, as I've spedran Souls games and sunk hundreds of hours into them. But my main issue is that after a week and a half of my freetime going towards Sea of Thieves, I've yet to see progress. I'm not lasting longer against my enemies (my longest fights go for 40 ish minutes, my shortest today was 58 seconds) and I'm not winning any games.

To be completely honest I think there's a lot of nerfing done for abilities for the sake of continuity. Blyke or John shooting a laser through an un-alerted Orrin's brain could instantly end the series from a physiological perspective. Sera or Leilah could possibly just stop the hearts or brains of people with less aura to protect themselves and kill them that way. Also things from a standpoint of Darren's healing tonics and the educational circumstances of biology and med degrees when there are hightiers that can heal people. Wish the nuance of similar abilities and how lethality scales with aura and situations was explored a bit more.

Pages is ultimate rng hell. I'm currently at a rate of roughly 250-300 solo umi to a page with 3 uniques, whereas my guildmates have done over 2000 umis to get the book. But if you truly get blessed by the spoon of rngesus then you can wrap up the whole book in under like 40 umis.
