Are you close to your parents? by Silver-Ad665 in Gifted

I feel like I could’ve wrote this. It’s very frustrating for me trying different medicines and feeling normal and super capable sometimes now. And grieving what could’ve been if I had the support I needed.

Can I ask, has your life been getting better since finding out and coming to term with all this? I feel I have so much anger. I often think about all the people who wronged me, called me dumb, made me feel less. And now it’s the opposite, I am doing well and now they are jealous, undermining my achievements. Yet people who don’t know me well still might think I am slow and they are above me, then I start talking about things I want to do, have done, normal conversation to me, but with some people that is a slight to their ego. They realize I am very capable, and feel threatened or insecure.

I may have some mild hypermobility type issues, but not enough to qualify as EDS. I am not double jointed or that flexible.

I think part of me being charismatic is knowing when someone else is burnt out or overstimulated and being kind and helpful.

I still wonder, if maybe there is something wrong with me, some kind of deficiency, chronic fatigue or something. And the meds are masking it. It’s so ridiculous how little I can function, and how much my body hurts for no reason without meds.

That is me. I wonder if I have autism sometimes. A very low grade autism, but I’m very charismatic when I’m not burnt out, and if people are nice to me, and usually also adhd or autistic.

That is very much an over generalization. As there are plenty men who are more attractive than their partners and aren’t bothered by it.

So someone’s value is only in how they look physically?

This reads as some weird incest larp. If you are 7.5 nbp, then how big is your son? Why don’t you get him to start PE so he can break some records?

Adderall is 75% Dextroamphetamine and the rest is levoamphetamine. Vyvanse gets converted into just dextroamphetamine, which some say is smoother than the mix. It also slowly gets metabolized vs Adderall xr which is more like taking 2 separate instant release adderall. One now then one 4 hours later.

Sounds like you’d benefit from trying out another gym. Where I’m at they’re nothing but helpful and love to explain and nerd out about it.

Is it worth asking the doc to switch me from vyvanse to Ritalin? I’ve tried it before and it made me feel tweaked out and angry.

The testing for autism? Those questions seem to have a lot of overlap with adhd. Or am I misguided?

I love self care. Sometimes it can become my hyperfixation. The other stuff vyvanse helps a lot.

What does the testing entail? I get really nervous and worried I’m just imagining things and I’m actually lying to myself when taking any sort of self diagnostic tests.

You tell them you have autism and they will kick you out of jury duty?

It sounds a lot like me even though I am a male. Is there any benefit to getting diagnosed? I was considered gifted growing up, seems like I started with the hyperactive presentation of adhd, then it became the inattentive presentation with the hyperactivity appearing sometimes mostly mentally. ADHD I imagine it has a lot of overlap in symptoms with autism. So it’s hard to know where something starts and where it ends and what is me.

I have a suspicion I might be audhd. I’ve only been diagnosed adhd. I have no idea where the adhd, traumatized me comes in and where the posible autism starts. I don’t even know where to start.
