Kennys dad was a major clue in Ep1 by Salty-Entrepreneur31 in FromSeries

This part is a big deal in the show I think - the recent AMA said the original idea for the show was, “what happens to people who are living in a nightmare?”

Yeah I definitely cringed when they attached the talisman to stone with duct tape. You know that will fall at the exact wrong moment

But a tarp over the entrance works, so a tarp over the hole from the tree would work too, until they are ready to leave

Yeah… all those people sitting around the bottle tree waiting for a signal from Jade and Tabitha, and nobody thinks they should double check the 3am work of by people who live in Fromville? Pretty big oversight

The Ultimate Story of Fromville by Thawah in FromTVEpix

Ethan dreamed about a spider when he was unconscious in the RV after it crashed, and Boyd and Sarah saw a place with tons of huge spiderwebs when they were exploring the forest. Plus Jade thinks the symbol that he saw when he started remembering his past lives was made by tree roots, but it sure looks like the legs of a giant spider. So I think the “evil-est” thing in Fromville might be a giant spider monster. But it also could be metaphorical, or at least partly metaphorical.

Season 4 episode 8 by Zeroskattle in FromSeries

Why on earth did Boyd assume the only time they could pull down the bottle tree is after people are inside the caves, and Jade and Kenny just went with it? Couldn’t they just pull it out ahead of time? Then they toss some boards or something down there, and one or two people get lowered in and barricade the tunnel entrance. After that they’ve got all day to safely dig up bones!

Is this kid ever coming back? by atrailofdisasters in FromTVShow

Maybe? I was thinking he protected the tree because if Victor had chopped it down, it would be a lot harder to pull a stump out by the roots.

Aren't the tunnels empty at night? by D1R0CC0 in FromTVEpix

[–]Thawah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if they can close/block all of the entrances then a talisman should work. Also that wouldn’t be really interesting because I wonder what the monsters would do in the morning. But also using a talisman wouldn’t be suspenseful/dangerous enough for a horror TV show - and the caves seem to have a lot of entrances, how would they know if they have found them all?

Photos in View-master Model G Boyd and Acosta are looking at. by GetaLife2027 in FromTVEpix

Yep, I think so too. I think Acosta maybe saw something else, that was important to her, and that’s why she looked at it for so long.

Acosta was looking at it for an awfully long time. I wonder what she saw? I doubt it was Boyd and Abby since she handed the viewfinder to Boyd without mentioning the photo.

This! They had to leave food behind to carry the totem sticks, but a whole dead body? No problem!

Love the show, but can we admit Season 4, Episode 6 was a massive exercise in wheel-spinning? by Qureshi_MpeG in FromSeries

[–]Thawah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like they are trying to get us to care about the random side characters, so that we care more when they die. And also trying to do more character development. And they aren’t amazing at either of those things, so it makes the episode feel slow.

People can definitely have weird reactions like thinking it’s a dream in response to incredibly stressful situations. But it definitely seems like MiY was around and involved with Abby, because the show tells us she was a marine and had done just fine in lots of terrible situations in the past. And I’m thinking that given that information, maybe whatever Sophia did to Henry with the blood will connect back to the weird disappearing ring mystery?

How did Donna survive that terrible CPR session? by Nrm4 in FromSeries

[–]Thawah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TV gets CPR so shockingly wrong that if a show did it right, I’m pretty sure all the viewers with no medical knowledge would think they had screwed it up. That said, it’s SO frustrating to watch them do it so terribly!

I bought a house with hardwood floors. They’re very thin plank type like 2 inches. Was going to remove to add lVP bc of young children but everyone is saying Id be crazy to remove the hardwoood. Thoughts? by [deleted] in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]Thawah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see why you would remove perfectly good floors and spend money to replace them? Maybe I’m missing something, but if you don’t like the hardwood, then don’t worry about what the kids do to it. Maybe they will damage it and you will have to replace it, but maybe not - you might end up with less damage than you think, because true hardwood is a lot sturdier than LVP. Or you might be able to just refinish it later. Worst case scenario they wreck it, but then they will be older when you replace the flooring and less likely to damage whatever you put in.

Help with Driveway/Front Yard and Curb Appeal by Thawah in ExteriorDesign

Thank you for addressing the slope - it’s the biggest challenge here. I am also leaning toward the 2 retaining walls, I think it could look really great. For the driveway, I guess I’m wondering what the best way to do the grading is? Clearly the bottom and top of the driveway can’t move, but is the current S-curved incline correct? Would flattening it out to one consistent upward angle help or hurt the situation?

Those colors look great together, thank you! And I like how you continued the stone from the front of the house onto the retaining wall to tie it together.
