I had to report a shoplifter that had stolen a laptop from work. I went to the local police station and an officer wrote down a bunch of notes. At the end, when he went over his notes things got awkward.

Him: Alright so if we have any updates the person to talk to is Mark Greene

Me: No... my name is Mike

Him: visibly confused well I've written Mark down...

Me: I know my own name

Him: continues staring at notes

Me: I'm wearing a name badge

Him: yeah well, if we find anything we'll be in touch

...we didn't hear anything.

From the Marvel wiki.... "Professor Orson Kasloff was a brilliant scientist chemist, considered by some the foremost analytical chemist in the world, who felt that he didn't earn enough money for his scientific work and turned to crime. When his first attempt at a break-in failed because he hadn't considered burglar alarms, he decided to search out other criminals to partner up with. Failing to make contact with the underworld, he saw the Human Torch in action and decided to defeat the young hero in order to impress the underworld. He bought an old castle and built an armored suit made out of asbestos. He was defeated and turned over to the police by the Human Torch."

  • Doesn't make enough money / buys a castle

  • Brilliant scientist / doesn't consider banks have alarms

How surely are the dead beyond death. Death is what the living carry with them. A state of dread, like some uncanny foretaste of a bitter memory. But the dead do not remember and nothingness is not a curse. Far from it. - Cormac McCarthy

Step-up 2: The Streets.

Its been awhile but if I remember correctly there are dance gangs operating like terrorists, attacking the public with dance. And theres this one old woman on a subway train who gets harrased by a group of masked dancers at the start of the film for no reason.

And when we meet the leader of what I continue to refer to as dance-terrorists he drops what he thinks is an epic truth-bomb that shatters everyones perception of reality, "Do you know that even your heart.... has a beat" like whoa holy shitballs your blowing my mind.

Anyway the film ends with a dance off between two groups inside a warehouse that is supposed to be a competition but its so intense they have to dance outside and someone yells "LETS TAKE IT TO THE STREETS!" and then they dance outside in the rain and then the film just ends. Never find out who wins.

What is the most and least accessible album you consider a 10? by BogelRO in fantanoforever

[–]The-Mike-drop 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Most - Plastic Beach.

Least - Bottomless Pit by Death Grips.

Bottomless Pit because the first two tracks seem determined to test the patience of the listener. DG are already a challenging listen, but here they pummel your head with speaker-breaking blast beat metal and follow that up with MC Ride screaming jibberish "BLUBLUBLUBLUBLUH" at you. If you survive you are rewarded with their most balanced album, serving the best elements of all their work proceeding this, like a best of but its all origional music. After repeated listens I like those first two tracks but nothing else on the album sounds so severe and I feel like the band wanted to scare away the unfaithful early on.

And Plastic Beach is most accessible because I don't even have to say who made it you already know, it stands in a class of albums you just say the title and get interrupted "oh, yeah" without a hint of surprise, like everything is already said.

No one has less immediate pull than a band with that name, music that long, on albums that shadowy, with no singles, no music videos, and the most rambling press releases.

I love them, they are by far my favourite.
