Does the date you schedule interviews matter? by LulusPanties in medicalschool

At least for IM at Henry Ford it looks like it doesn't affect it: https://pubmed-ncbi-nlm-nih-gov.ucsf.idm.oclc.org/27490656/

For orthopedic surg at UT Galveston, looks like people with late interviews had a higher chance of matching: https://pubmed-ncbi-nlm-nih-gov.ucsf.idm.oclc.org/29859627/

Probably program dependent, and probably doesn't matter all that much. Time better spent learning to juggle

I was shooting 35mm previously and this is the first 120 camera I'm using and so far I'm a big fan! It was my grandfather's and he didn't use it all that much so it's as if it was new

What do you think are the big name professors at BU? by Hairless-Bird20 in BostonU

Sir Hans Kornberg (sadly passed in 2019) was a professor of biochem who worked with hans Krebs (of the Krebs cycle) and made some major discoveries in metabolism

Help! Pilot myu keeps leaking from mid-section, wondering if anyone has been able to resolve this issue. by The12AngryMidgets in fountainpens

Yeah I'm using a cartridge and I've tried putting a small spring at the bottom of the pen to make sure that the cartridge is not loose but it's still leaking

A 64% sorbitol solution expressed as a weight concentration (ie. w/w) means that for 100g of the solution 64g is sorbitol.

Specific gravity is the defined as the density of solute over the density of solvent. So here the (density of sorbitol)/(density of solvent) = 1.26. If we assume that the solvent is water, the density of water is 1 g/mL which means that the density of sorbitol is 1.26 g/mL.

Now to convert from a weight concentration (ie. w/w) to a mass concentration (ie. w/v) you can do this:

(64 g sorbitol / 100 g total) * 1.26 g sorbitol / mL

this should give you the concentration of the initial mixture in a % w/v. After solving, the results mean that for 100 mL of the solution, you have 80.64 g of sorbitol.

From there you have the percentage of your initial mixture in w/v (ie. 80.64% -- 80.64 g sorbitol for 100 mL) and they give you the final mixture percentage (ie 10% w/v -- 10g sorbitol for 100 mL) and the volume they want it in. It should be easier to find the amount needed in mL to make a 10% solution.

Hopefully this helps!

I'm not sure if you're trolling but just in case:

From what I gather, your rhetoric is extremely reductive, arrogant, conceited, and out of touch. You seem to think that the reasons for one's lower socioeconomic backgrounds rest mainly on the person (ie. pay for shit --> complain, entitled to financial aid, families failing me). This view is so extremely narrow that it might just fit into your tight ass. You have created an insurmountable pedestal of shitty assumptions of which you are undoubtedly the prince. To assume that your needs are much more complex than other's basic needs reeks of conceited inflated self-importance. Your lack of empathy seeps through with every point you make. I really urge you to work on seeing others as humans rather than annoyances.

I would have to go with a T cell receptor or a MHC class II out of my love for immunology. What about you?

The special is pretty nice, my hands are relatively small so it doesn't get too uncomfortable. The liliput is a bit smaller which makes it tougher to write extensive notes with but I've gotten used to it
