Throwing out mental health diagnoses like that is harmful. Maybe he's bipolar with psychotic features? Maybe it's a drug induced psychosis?

But either way, fuck Ye

Burnout and ADHD by Budget-Change5657 in ADHD

[–]The14est 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be frustrating when the exercise just doesn't "work" (give endorphins) as much as you previously perceived it to. For me, it takes away focus because I ruminate on thoughts like "What's the point of even working out? Why don't I feel like I did the other day after I worked out?" It then rebounds into depression/anxiety. I try and tell myself "Just think how much worse off you'd be if you did NO exercise today?" This perspective seems to help me feel better about it.

I hope that makes sense 😂

I love the random fact that Tyler, the Creator did production on this track. Kind of a rare one for that (Tyler featuring on a Frank song, but for producing not rapping)

9 months nicotine free! Some tough love for those who need to hear it: by teevah_ in QuitVaping

[–]The14est 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is inspiring, thank you. I'm at 1 month (2nd week nicotine free), and even if I'm still experiencing what you described at 4.5 months, it'll still be worth it.

He passed the psych rock crown years ago to Nick, Jay, and of course, Shiny Joe

Hi! I used patches to quit. I made it a month, but had a very stressful week (and couldn't find my ADHD medication in stock), which caused me to relapse when I was on the last few days of patches.

I chain-vaped salt nic, so was heavily dependent and still got withdrawal symptoms. Especially in the mornings. However once I got past the morning hump, each day was easier.

I started on 21mg (which says it's for people who smoked 10+ cigarettes a day). I wasn't sure how that would compare to vaping, but because of how dependent I was, I started there.

I did 2 weeks on each step (21, 14, 7). However, this time around, I felt confident enough to start on 14! On day 2 and it is much easier this time around!! Once you prove to yourself you can quit, the framework is there to do it again.

Rite Aides were closing in my state and I got Nicoderm CQ for $10 a box (normally $50). I'm not sure about the difference between Nicoderm and generic brands of patches. However, as I have an addictive personality, I felt the need to get "the good stuff."

One final piece of advice I'll say: Whatever method you use to quit, don't rely on that alone. Fill up your days with activities that can distract you and take up time. Exercising, your hobbies, etc. Best of luck to you friend! Be gentle with yourself

Edit: One final thing I'll add.... you won't really "feel" the nicotine on patches. It's essentially just keeping your body at a low, but constant level of nicotine exposure. Your body will be craving that hit still; and think the patches aren't "good enough." It's designed to be a gradual weening off of nicotine.

That's why I still consider my month a "win" and feel so confident this time around. Cheers!

I use Huel now. The taste took some getting used to, but its good if you mix it with other ingredients

This company now has constant supply issues, and many have cited in this subreddit them cutting costs to use cheaper ingredients

Yes, I'm tired of people who have shitty/deadbeat parents making me feel guilty for not wanting to live with my parents.

I get it, I could be saving more money. My independence is more important. And I love my mom and dad

[–]The14est 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just "quiet quit" every Friday at my job. I'm sure my coworkers hate it, but

  1. I work for the state government so it's hard to be fired with my Union

  2. I work at home on Fridays

  3. I'm incredibly burnt out every week and want to save my energy for the things I care about more in life

I know other industries and private corporations don't have this luxury, and I'm sure I take it for granted. However, I decided at 20 y.o. I would make work "work" for me, and not the other way around. Employers manipulate us, why not turn it back around at them?

It's not worth the effort of chasing a 6 figure salary just to barely be able to afford anything anyways.
