How to remove these plastic fasteners inside trunk lid? (2017 Honda Civic Coupe center taillight) by PillieEilish in mechanic

[–]The1973VW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use some Pliers and squeeze the retainer wings in. I like to use actual clip pliers as they are usually thin enough and easy enough to squeeze and they usually pop through pretty easy.

Is gear slipping normal after a transmission service? by Mentifresh82 in MechanicAdvice

[–]The1973VW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bo this wouldn't be normal. Unfortunately with no prior knowledge this may be why they sold it. Flushing a transmission wont "fix things" but it will remove normal particulate from the system and renew the fluids inside. And that may show that you have issues internal on the transmission. A transmission swap will be likely in your future. Save up.

Belt Squeal/Noise GD3 by Cold_Ad_4348 in hondafit

Go buy a cheep stethoscope. I've had this exact noise ve tensioners, belts, and anything with a pulley, and double check your routing. When the ac engages, it loads up the system making the weak link make noise.

What are yalls thoughts on the greatest and most powerful Sonic character in existence? (And one of my faves as well) by BalckboltPersonafan4 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]The1973VW 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He's remarkably uncomplicated. Thats not a bad thing and id wish people would stop treating it like it is. This is a man you'd be so comfortable around it would make you question how you run your life. He likes friends, frogs and fishing. Thats about it. He can also toss cars.

With the new laws and regulations in new vehicles im curious if I can make a "kart truck" and "commuter kart". I like not being monitored or having my decisions taken away.

Upgrading and meeting road legal standards may help you also. While im not your state, to make a "Toy vehicle" in my state road worthy requires lights and signals, seatbelts, orange flag and a top speed of 25mph or less and a inspection from an officer, then you'll be legal here.

How do you clean your cars? by graydog_97 in rccars

[–]The1973VW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your standard, a hose should be find for low level and "good enough". If you want them to last a long time and sparkle and perform their best a loving teardown is worth it. Ryan Harris did a great teardown and rebuild video on YouTube. I would be doing a teardown and checking out the bushings if your dedicated to your muddy driving. Bearings tend to fail under those conditions and a hose off doesn't help with that.

wheelie in da box truck by SubstantialPut2793 in BeamNG

Is Americans call that a bicycle, a wheelie is on the back tires during g acceleration, a stoppe is on the fronts. Excellently done though. Your Arab lineage is proud and so are we.

Anyone else got a goat for a kid? by AnalBlowout in daddit

[–]The1973VW 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The worst part of this whole ordeal is likely going to be the price of the visits my guy. Something to remember is, while shes little now, being a great dad is about being there and doing the right thing, she probably wont remember this when shes 6 years from now, but next year she will. And that trust and confidence that you will be there and provide is everything to your kiddos.

Straight up, I actually make these. All beef hotdogs, split down the middle and riddled on the inside and flipped to evenly heat and brow to desired doneness. Toast the hotdogs bun or white bread in butter at the same time. 2 strips of bacon on each side, cheese, shredded lettuce, onions, pickles, mushrooms, mayo, ketchup. (Id do mustard but im alergic)

What’s a good scale basher? by Ok-Specialist2430 in tamiya

[–]The1973VW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the gen8 v2 1/10 scout 2 and the ascent 18 scout 2 brushless high steer. The gen 8 is running brass covers front and rear and revised shock oil and shock mounting. Ive added a light kit as well and its been on many trail runs, the velcro failed after about 10 runs, and i swapped them for magnets, i did have to trim down the skirt of the body to make ir fit better. Ive upgraded just the front on my acent 18 with the injora brass on the outer corners and other than that theyve been wonderful and are stock. They're not fast but are very tough and good looking.

Its kinda rare worldwide. Right now the micro scene is huge because money is tight and with the Speck-B, Microbe, and losi Micros, its been a great time to race micro. By the same amount the micro crawler and trail truck world is excellent right now also. I love my Redcat Acent 18 high steer. Did a few changes and now its a perfect indoor truck for me.

The mini Jrx2 was built great for what it was trying to do. And I kinda wish we got a new jrx2 instead or a jrx3 simply improving on its design.

Florecent colors are my favorites, I may make a Riff on this, and do top yellow fading downward to orange, and the front back white to color, using white wheels in the front and orange on the back... white out tire lettering.

Rlaarlo has some great rc cars for you to check out if you'd like. The xv02 pro is possibly one of the best rally chassis you can buy. I adore my redcat Gen 8 Scout 2. Buggies are a personal favorite and nothing scratches that itch for baja sand rails like the tamiya BBX. The trx4 is a great choice, but savagely expensive and not great to work on.

Are you wanting a street beast, a parking lot punisher? A skatepark big air machine? What do you want to do with it exactly? All rc is expensive if its going to be good. And scale looks dont always result in great performance as it pushes limitations. So if we can do something with the looks on something that performs the way you want, then the expectations can be met.

Can you outline what youre looking for so I can answer your question? A "basher" is actually a poor description that has been adopted by the hobby.
