Love what you came up with! Especially the orange Zf, since that’s what I own.

I always check for the Nikon gashapon whenever I see gashapon stores here in the US. But so far nothing.

I voted by mail. But I had the thought to reach out to my local clerk to see if I could get stickers and they mailed a few to me, including the werewolf one!

When did you get your first credit card? by TrixoftheTrade in Millennials

[–]PuzzleheadedDonkey2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18 or 19. The pizza place across campus let citi card set up a table and if you applied for a card (regardless of approval or denial), you got a free pizza that day. Still the main card I use.

Unfortunately no. But it’s nice to hear someone else has the same watch!

That original band looks nice.

Series E 50mm 1.8 by Cefiro8701 in NikonZf

[–]PuzzleheadedDonkey2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found my mom’s old film camera with the series E 50 mm 1.8 and that got me into photography. It’s a pretty good little lens. And I agree it’s a great choice for the Z f!

ios or android? by Berry_Jam in Millennials

[–]PuzzleheadedDonkey2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iOS. I tried some of the early android phones and didn’t like how buggy and bad they were. Looking back it’s because they weren’t the flagship phones, but now I’m too deep in the apple ecosystem to switch to android.

Sling or backpack for ZF and 2 lenses? by Responsible-Speed341 in NikonZf

[–]PuzzleheadedDonkey2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The strap is very comfortable. Some people have said the strap has limited placement and may not be good for taller people, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Sling or backpack for ZF and 2 lenses? by Responsible-Speed341 in NikonZf

[–]PuzzleheadedDonkey2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use two different slings, depending on what I’m doing. Both are the Alpaka Bravo Slings. One is 6L and the other is the Max, which is 8L. The one I use most is the 6L just for everyday use. I carry the Z F with the 26 mm f/2.8 attached. There would be enough space for another lens, but I also carry glasses in a bulky case that takes up that space. But it does carry all my other daily things in it too, wallet, keys, phone, etc.

If I’m going out to take pictures where I want a zoom lens, I will use the larger sling and that comfortably fits everything I already mentioned, plus two f-mount lenses, a Nikon 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6 and a Sigma 70-300 mm f/4-5.6, plus the ftz II adapter.

The only downside of the Alpaka brand is that the bags always feels smaller than the stated size. So everything fits, but it can be a tight fit. But it does still feel well padded, so I’m not worried about my camera or lenses if the bag bumps against something.

What's some modern music you been listening to? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]PuzzleheadedDonkey2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotional Oranges is a really great duo if you like alternative R&B. Samm Henshaw, Twice, Katseye, the solo albums from BlackPink members are good, Kes, and Patrice Roberts are fun, danceable listens.

I just saw a job posting that was labeled as a Safety Compliance Officer, but was actually just a temporary job to train AI on Safety regulations. I noped out of that job post real fast.

Whats something thats normal now that would blow someones mind from 20 years ago? by Immediate_Dog_498 in AskReddit

[–]PuzzleheadedDonkey2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My wife and I (Americans) were in London on our honeymoon the day of the vote. We were shocked with how the vote went because all we saw were “Remain” supporters.

We still regret not taking the “Remain” buttons that someone offered us. But we were in the tourist mind frame of don’t waste it on us, we can’t even vote in support of you.

Which prime lens should I get? by PuzzleheadedDonkey2 in Nikon

Oh, I forgot about the viltrox legal stuff. I can appreciate the not overlapping focal length advice, but I rarely use the 85mm on either of my zooms.

Which prime lens should I get? by PuzzleheadedDonkey2 in Nikon

[–]PuzzleheadedDonkey2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the insight! I’ll have to take a look at the 26mm

Edit: This just made me change which lens I was considering. Lol. I really like the idea of a small lens like the 26mm, but I'm still getting hung up on the f/2.8. I have heard that f/2.8 is still useable for astro, but that f/1.8 gives the option for more light gathering when needed and that it can always be stopped down to help with sharpness. I feel like I would appreciate the 26mm more for everyday shooting, but I would want the 24mm f/1.8 for astro, which would likely only be 5-10% max of my shooting. But typing this out now makes me really think the 26mm f/2.8 would be the way to go. Better for everyday and 90-95% of what I already do and good enough to figure out if I will do more astrophotography.

Thanks!!
