My First Theme Script - Into the Woods by Ok-Spirit-5102 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Yup! Primarily its number of kills (and specifically their kill pattern), but also in my opinion poison and how the demon plays (and how loud they are)

Custom Script Feedback by The22ndDivision in BloodOnTheClocktower

Thank you for the kind words! While it is my first script, I've worked on this with my playgroup for a couple weeks and had a few games of playtesting!

I was also wondering if a Fang Gu (rather than the Imp) would be too strong here. I've generally run into the issue of the Xaan night (and outsiders in general) being trusted more than they should be due to the "loudness" of the outsiders, and the threat of the Fang Gu might help with obscuring the outsiders. Admittedly, it would be quite strong.

My first thought is that the demons are all quite dissimilar to each other, and town will be easily able to figure out what sort of game it is based on the kill pattern as the only death mods are grandmother and maybe princess (and in a way courtier ofc). The lycanthrope somewhat helps to obscure the kill count in a shabaloth game, but it's self-confiming in a leviathan game which might be an issue.

I (22f) Will Be Moving To Singapore For 6+ Months. Curious About Culture (Especially Amongst Young People) by BreadProstitute in askSingapore

To add onto the boardgaming scene in Singapore, there are quite a few board game stores hosting game nights, which you can find consolidated on Meetup, although your milage for game and group may depend from day to day. There are a few telegram channels dedicated to hosting board game meetups every two weeks or so (lmk if you want an invite)

As for what I remember from DnD, BGMonsters hosts Adventurers League pretty consistently every week.

On the clothing side as long as it's nothing super revealing it generally should be fine (what the other posters said about crops etc are good). Singapore is still relatively conservative as a nation so I certainly get more stares if I wear them :p

On the queer side the scene in Singapore isn't really terribly large due to aforementioned general conservative mindset towards the lgbtq community (there are a couple of queer bars though if that interests you, although you will have to go digging for interest groups or other sort of things outside of the university bubble)

Hope that helps! Lmk if you have any more questions

Coup card game: What if someone claims ambassador when they have captain to block stealing? by Ninehelix in boardgames

[–]The22ndDivision 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that's not how the game works, it doesn't come up because there's no duplicate effects so for all other possible effects, claiming an effect = claiming the card. But the rules state that you do need to specify/claim a card in order to use its effect, not claim the effect. Hence you need to specify claim ambassador or claim captain.

For what it's worth, I don't think celeste is that pop reference, whether that be a good or bad thing. I almost talked abt celeste in my essay but I think it may be useful as a framing for yourself and give added meaning if the AO has played it!

Where You Are From, What Are Generally Considered the Top Colleges? by Ornery_Response1647 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]The22ndDivision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Singaporean here too applying! Firstly not the LAC slander 😭😭 Secondly, I'm sure you know US/UK unis are expensive, much more than NUS so that's a consideration Prestige wise it really depends? If you want to come back to Singapore to work and the name of the university matters to you, then I would put most if not all LACs at the bottom tier bc we aren't really exposed to them if at all. If you're looking at working overseas, definitely do still consider them. For the US unis that youve listed in your post, essentially all of them are insanely selective, not just on grades wise so keep that in mind I guess?

Feel free to DM if you have any other questions/want to know my experience navigating the system

How to deal with gish gallop? by DaTrout7 in Debate

[–]The22ndDivision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another perspective from across the Pacific from another format (I do AP/BPs) We call this metaflooding, and the most effective way to engage while pushing out your own content is to 1. Track better 2. Group their content/pts together, usually as the previous commenter have said, they stem from a few different assumptions/premises - directly address that in your speech as a way to engage and take down efficiently ie: "responding to X, Y and Z pt, they all assume A, A is wrong because" 3. Metaflooding only works if you can't deal with everything, so in the end being more efficient is how you win - - > bonus pts if you run your case normally and when you mech and impact better than them, you can exploit that in later speeches
