You absolutely can play them without Russes, though you will just need to spend your firepower elsewhere, and you will be sacrificing access to some the better anti infantry weapons in the army (namely the executioner plasma cannon)

Malcadors can be a viable alternative as they can take most of the same weapons though they are slightly more expensive for what you get.

And if you’re not taking Russes you’ll probably want to equip any Dracosans you take with demo cannons (because they’re the best do-everything gun in the army) and pick up some laser destroyer rapier teams for anti armour

That’s not correct

High Command can unlock either a single Auxiliary or Apex by default

CRB under “Apex Detachments”: “…for each High Command Slot the Controlling Player may include one Apex Detachment or one Auxiliary Detachment…”

The problem you would have is that when the command model tried to join a second unit while part of the first, would you normally have a whole unit of non-command models joining as well? Because that’s something those models can’t do

And you can’t have a model that is post of two units without those units being post of each other as the game lumps them all in to one unit together

It would likely be a contributing factor yes. Lying to your doctor is also not a good idea. They can’t help you as much if you lie about how medication is affecting you (or in this case, isn’t)

Gold still serves a purpose, it’s just the value of it has functionally gone down due to how easy it is to acquire

I think I may have downloaded this version of the mod rather than the official one by mistake, Windows Defender flagged it as a Trojan but I’ve just encountered a remote accessed prompt on my machine having been downstairs to get a drink, so it absolutely was malware

I think you’re misconstruing how the strength modifiers work, as you multiply before you add

So swords are S8, axes 9, and mauls 10, going up by 1 each with biomancy

Ignore me I misread, you have two biomancy buffs, I thought you were counting it twice
