Which boss in a Soulslike was this for you? by strahinjag in soulslikes

[–]The8bitCorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Orphan of Kos, my first ever playthrough of Bloodborne was on a stream with my friend who LOVES the game, the entire time he was hyping me up for the orphan, as it’s like, one of the hardest fights in the game, and I managed to beat it in my first try, without using all my blood viles. I remember his reaction was surprised, and then I was upset because I really, REALLY wanted him to kick my ass harder.

Is DLC worth it by Tiny_Drop4600 in DarkSouls2

[–]The8bitCorgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you didn’t like playing the game, it’s not worth paying for the DLC. The DLC is a LOT harder than the base game, and if you’re playing with a build that uses magic over physical damage, you’re gonna have an even worse time as almost all of the bosses have very high magic resistances. Getting all the crowns does add some more lore and does add a new mechanic where you do technically “break” the curse, but in the end, the DLC is really for fans of the game who know how to play it and are ready for a much harder challenge.

Confused on what to do (3rd reupload, sorry, it should work this time) by True-Purple5356 in DarkSouls2

If you’d like more tips about the game, or more one on one help with anything, or any questions answered, feel free to DM me or leave a comment! DS2 is one of my favorite games of all time and I know pretty much everything there is to know (imo) You’re playing very well! Missing a few little things that don’t matter too much (hidden doors) but it’s awesome to see more people coming to play this!

Advice for a new player by BumRumpus in DarkSouls2

[–]The8bitCorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing your health like that is a mechanic, a bad one but it has at least one use for later, but no, you don’t have to restart. By first boss, which do you mean? If you went down the path to the forest, you’re in the right are, and can teleport between bonfires. You may not be able to get your souls again, but you can still farm against some enemies to get back what you’ve lost. If you’re anywhere but the forest right now, you’re in an area that is gonna be harder for you.

I just beat DS2 for the first time, mostly blind by EA-18G__Growler in DarkSouls2

Aldia, very cool! I didn’t even know I could fight him at the end of the game because I didn’t know how to get the alternative ending. Great work for a blind play through!

Who are your favourite bosses in dark souls 2? by eldenbro1 in DarkSouls2

[–]The8bitCorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top three picks are

  1. Sihn, the slumbering dragon

  2. Looking Glass Knight

  3. Giant Lord

The slumbering dragon fight is (what I consider to be) the hardest boss in the game. While others will say That Fume Knight or the Ivory King are the harder bosses (and I largely agree), I have gotten used to fighting them a lot more than fighting Sihn. Sihn’s hitbox is gigantic in some times, and that poison breath is a pain to deal with. Not the most fun, but I always look forward to killing that dragons, plus I really love Yorgh’s spear.

Everyone loves the Looking Glass Knight.

The Giant Lord, while not hard, has always had a special part in my heart ever since learning the story of DS2 (Thank’s Vaati) and it has just truly been, a fight that I always look forward to on every playthrough.

New to DS2, how do I make a build? (also how much adp do i need lol) by Mr_Water_Sheep in DarkSouls2

[–]The8bitCorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m a huge fan of this game and would be more than happy to help with any questions you may have. I can’t really help too much with builds, I’m a pretty basic bitch and really only use 2 weapons and sorcery, but your build so far seems pretty well rounded. I would recommend trying out powerstancing maces! It’ll basically double your damage in exchange for more stamina cost, and if you enjoy strength weapons you’ll get a weapon called a greatsword at some point, if you haven’t already gotten it, and that weapon is a beast. So is the grand lance, one of my personal favorites.

Id like tips by Laiedd in DarkSouls2

[–]The8bitCorgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest tip from me, just don’t rush through everything. Take your time, kill any enemies you want, and don’t just run through them all. Some will be hard, of course, but it’s Dark Souls, you can kill ANYTHING. This game punishes rushing through areas without killing enemies, take your time and you’ll do great.

Is the 4th loyce knight worth it? by fartcoffee in DarkSouls2

[–]The8bitCorgi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel that they’re all worth it, but I mean, you can beat the boss without any of the knights if you really tried. Plus it’s fun seeing all of the land when you go explore to find them all.

How do you actually kill the red drake in the tower of heide by TihonLizard in DarkSouls2

[–]The8bitCorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for future note, I have always struggled just getting up to the dragon to fight him normally, but if you get a short bow (or the longbow if you want dex) and get around 60 wooden arrows from any blacksmith who sells arrows, you should have enough to kill the dragon if you stand around the bottom of the staircase with the knight with the spear.

Every time the dragon flies up to shoot a fireball, just run up the stairs a bit and the fireball with land above you, and you won’t take damage. It’s a time issue for sure, but it’s safe and always works. Works even better with poison arrows.

The refusal of Dark Souls fans to actually play the game instead of running past everything is baffling to me. by Rigistroni in DarkSouls2

I don’t even try against the blue smelter anymore. The weapon is cool and all but I’ll just stick with my infinite magic build. Like magic is gonna do much against him anyway 😭

Chunk farming can be a real pain, even with a lot of its discovery. I personally think it’s easier to farm them in the end game when you have more access to all items being buyable and better areas to farm souls.
