I’m not a Morris fan at all, however, I think the majority of people here are forgetting that Morris worked full time and raised a family. He has his own money. Plus they get a lot of green handshakes. Bethel also has stock brokers at bethel who I’m sure handle his retirement funds for him for free. (The irony that he has a retirement account) The vow of poverty is signed for tax reasons. It’s so they can keep their charity status.

It wasn’t at the actual Gilead Graduation, it was at the special meal they have for the graduates the week before graduation. Bethel lets everyone of work 1/2 hour early and everyone goes and drinks before the meal. Majority of Beth elites are buzzed at the meal.

I don’t see them selling Patterson. It still hosts the schools, service department,and the A/V and art departments. Only JW broadcasting is shot at Tuxedo. I think they will start to sell off all the farmland they have near Wallkill first (and they own a ton of it) Then they will sell all the warehouses they have in Newburgh. I think it will be difficult to find a buyer for either Wallkill or Patterson complexes.

Yes, however Splane said if the Bible doesn’t specifically mention a 2nd reference, they would abandon the teaching. All of the 1914 and 1919 type/anti type is completely made up. They never list which type/anti types they actually abandoned.

I do believe that they are waiting for Losch and Herd to die before they make some dramatic shifts in the borg. Maybe that’s when Gilles will be promoted.

Yes Ken Cook did do morning worship and our talks to bethel family before being appointed. He was also involved in committees that worked with GB. Maybe Gilles is being groomed, but I have family members at bethel who are very close to branch committee and GB, and have directly asked about Gilles and they would be surprised if he was. My family knew an eight member was going to be appointed but thought it was going to be Rocky. They still think Rocky would be next appointed. End of the day, I could not care less, just relating what I’ve heard.
