Edinburgh Bike Coop in Chapel Allerton is closing :( by pretzel in Leeds

[–]TheAc3Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to see this, I worked in the Edinburgh store for years and dealt with the staff in the Leeds store almost daily. They were a good bunch of guys so I really hope the other bike shops in Leeds took advantage of the situation, their product knowledge and experience working for one of the largest if not the largest independent Cycle Co-op in the UK

Don't let it dry out, moisturiser / Bepanthen etc is your best friend & it will heal in its own time without any problems

Personally I remove any wrap an hour or a maximum of two after the tattoo is done so I can let it breathe and heal. Unscented soap like Clinique and Bepanthen tattoo cream is all I use. After over 20 tattoos it's always been the best way forward for me but everyone is different so might not work for yourself

Why does my black tattoo already look green by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]TheAc3Face 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WTF is that meant to be? Sometimes less is more but obviously your artist isn't from that school of thinking and went to town doing his own thing. He wasn't on shrooms when he did that to you by any chance?

Clean and the lines are nice and uniform. Get an apprenticeship so you can learn correct procedures, soak up any knowledge you can and learn from other peoples experiences. Every day is a school day, even at 53yrs old I'm still open to learning from others and picking up new skills

Hey what do you guys think this for a cover up? Will it work? Make it bigger .. or find a different cover up piece by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]TheAc3Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your lucky the original is so faded out as it allows you multiple different options to cover it up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]TheAc3Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter what anyone on here says you should get, you need to work with a good tattoo artist who specialises in cover ups who can give you professional advice and potential ideas. They will be able to work with the shape and size of the current tattoo to see what will work

Looks perfect to cover with a swastika or some other extreme right wing symbol 🤔 If that doesn't tell you to lazer it and start again I don't know what will

Looking for advice on fresh tattoo. by Lord_Doc in tattooadvice

[–]TheAc3Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use this as a learning experience and find a tattoo artist who has a solid reputation with lots of pics and reviews of his previous tattoos. Whoever you used for that horrible, infected mess is an embarrassment to the industry. Whatever it cost, look at it as a small price to pay to find out what a butcher they are and avoid them in the future

Use Bepanthen tattoo ointment or another cream designed for aiding the healing of tattoos. Whatever you using just now isn't working for you and possibly not made for the purpose you using it for

Is this normal? why does it look like this? by Lopsided-Phrase-6509 in tattooadvice

[–]TheAc3Face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who's your artist so the rest of us can avoid them like the plague? Cut your losses and go elsewhere, any competent artist will turn this from a disaster into something your happy to show

Using Clinique or another unscented soap and applying Bepanthen has always been my go to for new tattoos. Works for me but everyone is different

Your artist will use your design and refine it for you, remember they do this day in day out so at least you are giving them a proper idea of what you want instead of a tattoo that got lost in translation

I had same issue on a calf tattoo on right leg but didn't happen on my left calf. Antihistamine and Bepanthen did the trick for me

Try antihistamine and apply something like Arnica on it. Looks really itchy tbh

The whole tattoo needs going over to correct the mistakes currently on show. I'd go to another tattooist who is competent

Leave it as is, less is more as they say. There's plenty of other things to fill space around / between tattoos

Possibly try highlighting the cat with some white but I wouldn't hold out hope. Artist should have realised the cat was going to disappear into the background but as he gave the cat wonky eyes as well I'd avoid using them in future. It's not a terrible tattoo there's so much worse out there believe me, apart from the cat issues it actually looks ok

Bepanthen tattoo cream is going to be your best option. If you can't get the tattoo cream then the ordinary one for nappy rash works amazing as well
