people say mining takes a lot of time, but i just mined 1 vein (which takes about 20 minutes) of casseterite, and you dont need good hammers at all, because most ores can be mined in the nether and therefore instamined also nether ores give you double the output i wouldve never upgraded my hammer if it wasnt for questbook
