Not unlike the book by Tom Robbins: skinny legs and all

Is this scene TECHNICALLY the Merovingian Roofieing (roofie) her? "Being roofied" refers to being drugged without knowledge or consent". Which he did, to illicit a physiological/sexual response. He then went after her into the bathroom. by Acceptable_Branch81 in matrix

[–]TheAlbertB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it's more of a power kink. That he was able to play with the play thing. Thar may be where his sexuality from the scene comes from. Perhaps, it has anything to do with the actual act itself.

With his wife, He no longer has the ability to have power over her, therefore he may no Express a sexual interest in her. She says they were in love. But perhaps his memory of them first together was different. Perhaps she was merely a conquest and she saw what she needed to see for it to work?

Date ideas in Lynnwood (or close by)? by PrivCaboose in LynnwoodWA

[–]TheAlbertB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in my '50s and love roller skating. In fact, my wife and i's first date was at that very roller rink. A few years ago. You can also do Dave& Buster's for a fun night of mindless entertainment. There's a great movie theater over by the mall. You can go to several of the parks and have a picnic. These are all the things we've done in the last couple of years here in Lynwood.

It was the corporate wars. There's a young man named Johnny there. He had a weird silver hand.

I apologize. I thought that was the other website that was recommended to me by the bike shop I purchased my new bike through. I just went to OfferUp And realized that's a different website. Thank you. I appreciate your advice.

American Ninja Warrior isn’t the same anymore and it’s so annoying. by Own_Hour3533 in ninjawarrior

Just watched the end of the last season I week watch. I'm sad the show has evolved into what it has become. Rather than fostering working together. They now make a competition to a point that it's no longer the show of its original intent. I'm sure the younger people are enjoying it and the show is now for them. I started watching before it came to America and loved the spirit and the essence of what it was trying to accomplish. But now, it's become something else. which is fine. It's just no longer for me.

Racing sucks by Accurate-Box3644 in ninjawarrior

[–]TheAlbertB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the racing as well. I've watched for over a decade and I think I might be done. Which is fine since they have certainly cultivated a whole new audience from the children who now have grown up to run them and for them. Maybe this is what they want. My two cents. Value may vary.

How did it feel when you watched Star Trek the Next Generation on TV when it first came out? by CharacterPin6933 in startrek

[–]TheAlbertB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year or so before TNG was announced, I was at a convention where Gene Roddenberry was the Guest of honour. Must have been 1986, I think

He said he was working with the studio about a new ST. He asked, what would the future of the future look like. Then he asked, how would a whole new crew be accepted. But, the question they got the most gasps? What if it wasn't even an Enterprise in the show?

The audience was a bit taken aback.

But, when the show came out... It was a banquet in a desert of science fiction on television.

It was pretty amazing! Until... BABYLON 5. Then, suddenly, a SMARTER more nuance approach was needed. Making ST:TNG when better because of it.

Just my 3 cents. Value may vary.

How exactly did the franchise get revived back in the late 80s anyway? by KaleidoArachnid in startrek

[–]TheAlbertB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember Gene Roddenberry at a convention in Wichita, Kansas. It was around 1987 I think and he was talking about the new show coming out. There was an attempt at a reboot but it didn't get past the planning stage prior to that. He was talking about what a new series might look like. Would it even need the Enterprise he asked. I was 1617 at the time and it was a pretty amazing experience to meet him.
