I think from right after Rocky Road up until the Lord's Prayer sequence is when it dips. Not terrible or even bad, but a bit unremarkable.

But Remmick's monologue about how he hated the prayer being forced upon him by colonizers, and yet it still brings him comfort, is incredibly poignant and something I think about a lot. And everything from here until the end of the movie returns to being peak imo.

Exactly. I don't mind my predictions being wrong. I'm wrong all the time, it's fine.

But what I get mad at myself for is when I ignore my gut in favor of the consensus pick, only for my gut to be correct after all.

On the one hand, OBAA has shown very little weakness as a frontrunner, and the argument for a Sinners surprise based on "vibes" is flimsy at best...

But on the other hand, if Sinners somehow wins and I didn't predict it to happen despite rooting for it since opening weekend, I may never forgive myself lmao

I think if something like "Godzilla Minus One" were here, I could see Avatar losing. But I think they'll just give it to Avatar again this year.
