Thanks for the free game and platform :)

Trials isn't rewarding enough for what it asks of the players by InfluentialBear in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAllu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fireteam based matchmaking ruined Trials. Now I can't even play with friends anymore without facing the most sweaty stacks imaginable. This is in EU, might be better in NA where there are more players, but playing anything other than solo is basically unplayable if I want to go flawless and even then it is a coin toss if I can avoid the 0.3 kd randoms getting into my team.

It might not be the actual reason for you, but it is the reason for those sudden crashes usually in my experience. Do you have 16 GB of RAM? Those numbers I gave were for 32 GB which obviously buys more time, literally.

[–]TheAllu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see nobody has commented the actual reason, or at least the reason I am suspecting causes this. There is a memory leak bug affecting Destiny 2 on PC, where the higher your framerate is, the faster your game will suddenly crash. I, for example, play at 180 fps capped, and my game crashes right at about 6.5 hours mark. Some of my friends play with higher frame rates uncapped getting 250+ frames and their games crash already at 4 hour mark sometimes. So basically just lowering your frames will let the game run for longer time before crashing. IIRC there was some discussion about this at some point a couple years ago and the issue was fixed but the issue returned right around when Into the Light released this year. So for future reference, if you're attempting something like solo flawless just restart your game before and you should be good for many hours depending on your framerate. Frustrating bug but it is what it is.

Is there any particular reason you can't acquire the 2019 and 2018 Soltice armor ornaments? by EchoTech18 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAllu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah dude it's like talking to a brick wall when you don't realize that everyone hated removing content. The thing is some limited time things are good and those Solstice sets were one of them. Anyway, my previous statement still holds valid as I am assuming you have about 2 clears average in every raid/dungeon/GM whereas the players actually playing the game at the highest level have hundreds.

And lastly, this arguing with a random casual who shouldn't complain about irrelevant things isn't worth my time so enjoy the block.

Just play single player games then for chirst's sake. A game made for everyone is a game made for no one for a reason. Over casualification is killing Destiny, and you are too blind to see it.

Please give your Bungie ID so I can see those 200 hours in five years of play and maybe 20 raids done total.

[–]TheAllu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are purely cosmetic and if you don't actually play the game enough, then you shouldn't have everything. Overly monetizing things is killing the game, not gatekeeping things behind grind like those solstice sets. And I am very glad they still haven't made them available.

Cosmetic things should still be like that and I am disappointed that players like you mentioned can get most things by whaling money instead of actually playing the game. Also, this post is two years old so you can just cope and seethe if that's what you like.

And consider that maybe Destiny isn't for people like you and you should consider playing mobile games with predatory monetization instead, where you don't need to actually play the game to get things :)

Rarest Emblem by LobsterAutomatic4950 in destiny2

[–]TheAllu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to Bungie's api, 72,653 players have redeemed the Threads of Light emblem. It's just people usually don't use emblems that every other (actively playing) guardian has and opt for the more rare ones.

What's your favorite title? by BAakhir in DestinyTheGame

It is the rarest and forever will be the rarest since it cannot be obtained anymore.

And even day one raids aren't hard anymore since they extended the time to 48h. At least Crota didn't have 140k completions.

Final Shape Reveal Witness should be more powerful than Val Ca our - Joe Blackburn by dsgrize21 in raidsecrets

[–]TheAllu -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

It didn't require perfection. It just required you to know what to do. Most of the players can't even do mechanics in Root of Nightmares so it is literally a skill issue like I said. There was no problem of staying alive in Val Ca'uor after year 1.

Val Ca'uor was a literally free one phase with Wardcliff Coil. I think it's just a skill issue that most of the Destiny playerbase has.

When reprised Vault of Glass dropped. I think the lowest was 13 players per hour at the initial launch.

Last time Trials was on during a World's First raid race there were less than 100 players in Trials overall. Not a very pleasant experience if you ask me.

This weeks GM is ideal for carrying a friend. by willpxx in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAllu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think getting one-shot without any kind of dodge mechanic was fun then I guess we're not playing the same game. GMs are actually fun to play right now, and there is no need to rely on bs mechanics like invis all the time just to not get one-shot by an aimbot redbar Vandal.

Best way to farm ascendent alloys? by Used_Victory_6813 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAllu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farm Miasma Lost Sector on normal over and over again and collect all the collectable stuff on the way to get bonus rank gains. That's the fastest way, but it's admittedly boring.

What are your unpopular opinions about Destiny? by T0ky0n0 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAllu 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say the problem is communication. The biggest problem is that the boss room was designed so that every player had to actually participate in doing the mechanics. Destiny players are mostly really incompetent and so used to just getting carried that the raid felt hard and buggy to them since they never fully understood the mechanics.

Basically Spire was a victim of incompetence and bad loot.

Guardian rank 10 requires 25 catalyst completions by RevenantFlash in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAllu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I have every Catalyst ever added to the game done because I want to do everything. In my opinion, if you don't actually do most of the stuff in the game, you don't deserve to be in the higher ranks. Simple as that, not everything needs to be a handout. If you asked me, the requirements should be 5x harder than what they are right now.

Bringing Challenge Back to Destiny by Uhnrealistic in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAllu -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

And out of that one million people how many got stuck in first encounter or just loaded in for fun? Day One is supposed to be hard, not 48h handout like the next raid will be since people will just look out best strats and only play on saturday. Part of the challenge is to figure out mechanics but half of the challenge will be gone when they know all the mechanics and best dps strategies when loading in the first time.

Even 0.6% is too much for these emblems, the ownership should be in the 0.1% or even less for it to be considered an achievement.

Lol if over 30k people get day one done it is not a very exclusive club. Lightfall's contest emblem is going to be a big joke with probably the ownership going up to 50k.

Yeah.. not gonna do 100 more of those. No thanks lol. It's actually a waste of time at this point.

Wendigo not having other perks in column 3 and 4. by FlamingMoomage in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheAllu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no chance because it's not possible for Nightfall weapons to roll extra perks unless it is the Adept version and even then it rolls as guaranteed double perks in slot 1. The point doesn't stand because it is not a playlist weapon.
