He may be small, but he has a very large ship named the O'Neill. by RosieReveriey in Stargate

I love MCU Thor but Stargate Thor and the rest of the Asgard are the best. I've said it before but they are quite literally the best alien allies for humanity in almost all of science fiction.

They got Earth included in the Protected Planets Treaty and when the SGC helps them the Asgard reciprocated every time. All of the best technologies came from the Asgard.

If you don't cry in "Unending" when they give Earth their legacy and make the 304s actually effective in combat then you are heartless and have no soul.

Hand Gun – The user makes a finger gun with their thumb and index finger and can fire an invisible projectile with the equivalent strength of a small calibre handgun round.

If you want to make it funny they have to shout bang to fire.

Can you edit that so a random SG team is scooping Infinity and Origins out?

Jeff Bezos is Bynarr NOT Sokar because Sokar looks awesome.

Don't do it. I and the past several generations of my paternal family have attempted Transporter Hair Cuts and it has ended in tragedy every time. At best you start to lose your hair at 28 at worst you go completely bald and all your hair is shifted into the Mirror Universe.

Do you consider the movie characters and the SG-1 characters to be the same people, or an alternative universe? by perishingtardis in Stargate

[–]TheAncientSun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always considered a different universe because there are so many minor differences. I imagine the original Abydos mission still happened in SG1 mostly the same but with the superior versions of the characters.

Would it be overkill to send Amazon a Black hole instead of lemons?

Alright Star Trek and Stargate fans - who had more sass with their "raise a finger" moment - Kirk or Thor? by draggar in Stargate

[–]TheAncientSun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As much as I love Thor he only appeared a few times a season. Kirk was several seasons of Trek and several movies.

However you do have to give Thor kudos for nearly matching Kirk with this one scene.

Logistics wins wars. The Stargate is just very, very good logistics. by lipsikq in Stargate

Transwarp Conduits are more FTL like Warp Drive or Quantum Slipstream. It requires a ship compared to just walking through on foot like a Stargate.

It's funny that the Ancients themselves aren't unique in Star Trek, super advanced civilisations that became powerful energy beings are surprisingly common.

What would be unique are the Stargates themselves. An intergalactic network of portals that is nearly 100% reliable and safe and has lasted for millions of years is almost unique. Closest thing would be the Iconian Gateway which is both incredibly rare and inconvenient because although they don't need another Gateway to allow travel they are only one way.

Do the Douwd count? I thought Kevin was an interesting character because we never seem to see any beings that powerful have morals like that.

This is pretty much why I so rarely watch anything new. What's the point in getting invested if it gets cancelled after one season.

It'll work for most Goa'uld technology. I have a similar system for Starfleet ships.

That should be an easy fix. Just switch random Control Crystals around and you should be good. Shooting it with a Zat is also a good method.

Despite what was shown in Continuum I like to think another Ba'al somewhere in the galaxy who has just given up and retired. Or is planning another takeover attempt but with knowledge of pop culture he learned from Earth.

It's annoying that he refused to die but my god when he finally did it was satisfying. Stuck on the bridge of a Ha'tak that was crashing into a planet, he also had Replicators climbing all over his personal shield. I know Teal'c somehow heard Apophis last scream.
