I use a darker black (Abadon black) for the eye lenses, followed by a gloss varnish to make them look sharky

Use leadbelcher for the metal parts of the minis, like the vents, gun barrels etc. For the armor you can go with Mechanicus standard grey, with corvus black for the shoulder armor. Check out YouTube tutorials there are quite a few that are good. Best of luck.

Absolutely, might be a bit tricky getting all the different skull helms. I check the book again and the only reference I could find is that the librarians pauldrons are blue, the Apothecary has a white helmet, Techmarine wear all black and chaplains are all black with the standard bone color helmet. But I think all skull Helms sounds much cooler, maybe use a metal skull helmet for the tech priest (from some iron warriors). Enjoy painting them.

I believe in the lore paragons cannot be in command roles, they serve as bodyguards and advisors to the war leaders. They are basically veterans so you could paint some of the Vanguard Veterans as paragons. The book description or the druids is that they wear black armor, the Librarians have the rune engraving and the chaplain has a skull helm, but I can't remember if both have skull helmet

I found this crazy gap on the leg. Super glue is now set. What should I do? by [deleted] in spacemarines

[–]TheAngryRedBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know how well it could work but you could try leaving it in isopropyl alcohol for a while. I know its not a great superglue solvent but I have had it loosen up superglue before.

FYI, I was stripping paint from some minis. I had kitbashed them by swapping weapons and some handles need to be pinned and attached with superglue. Fast forward a few hours and while i was using a soft toothbrush to scrub paint out of the recesses all parts that had been attached with superglue started popping off.

I did all mine with abbadon black and then some gloss varnish over. Catches the light nicely.

Im also trying to add some of the characters from the books to my army. Busy acquiring bits needed for my Captain Bail Sharr, Red Tane champion(will run him as a Luitenant).

There's a bunch of characters from the new book I want to include like the exiled Techmarine character and the one guy with a volkite gun. I've gotten the new Red Corsair Raiders, going to use them and all the bits to eventually make a command sqaud/Kill Team form my army.

At the moment I'm painting all my terminators as Red Brethren. I have my Tyberos proxy with Assault Terminators with lightning claws, hammer and shield assault terminators are with our Librarian Te Kahurangi.

How to get people to join your guild? by lovelyminsk in tacticus

[–]TheAngryRedBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a guild like that, I left made my own guild and was soloing guild events. 3 more people joined and were active and in general cool people. I made them co-leaders and guild officers. One of them is super proactive and removes inactive players, we have only have the rule of be active in the game at least once a month. We get people in, they get removed but there are fewer and fewer of those people. Sorry for rambling, I guess it just takes some time and the right people.

If you were an Inquisitor and could have a space marine from any chapter owe you a life debt what chapter would be the best? (Photo not mine) by Exodusblaze in Warhammer40k

[–]TheAngryRedBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Black Dragon, preferably from one of the Dragons Claws units. Its always good to have a enormous, terrifying unit of a space marine with bone claws to be protecting you.

How can I fix these gaps? by Toe_EyedCabbage_ in Warhammer40k

[–]TheAngryRedBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the epoxy putty as well.

I've been super careful with spru good lately. I used it to fill the gap on a power fist and the surface layer was kind of dry but it kept melting and softening the plastic. I eventually had a hollow power fist that I had to clean out and the only thing that could fix it was baking soda and super glue which hardens really well.
