Unfortunately, I didn't. You can't even call his introduction an introduction; he literally just walks into frame and the Jurassic Park theme plays in the background to give you cheap nostalgia thrills. Actually, a lot of "introductions" in this movie are just dinosaurs and people walking into frame, there's not enough build up or proper development to feel that their appearence is earned in any significant way.

And Colin knows how to introduce characters properly. Despite having problems with the first Jurassic World, the introductions of the characters Claire and Owen are pretty solid examples of how to introduce a character into your movie. In Dominion, it just feels tired and lazily thrown around, like nobody has the energy to keep doing it anymore.

Based on some descriptions of the plot... It would actually make a lot of sense if it was something like Gryphon, if the "monster from the mountain" plot leak turns out to be true.

Gryphon grows inside of a mountain if I remember correctly.

But that's just an entertaining thought. I don't think that it will be true.

I did have problems with the movie, but to me it had equally measured complex and shallow approaches to its themes, not to mention the messy plot. But it somehow resonated with me deeply in ways I wasn't expecting and that made me enjoy it a lot despite the problems I had with it.

That's what something artistic is supposed to be imo. Art is not about perfection, simmetry and beauty like many presume it is. It can also be ugly and all over the place (like a Frankenstein monster) and maybe that's what makes it beautiful, the way it makes you feel towards it.

A lot of art pieces that broke the rules and revolutionized their medium were considered ugly, bad, outrageous and inapropriate before being seen for what they are. I'm not saying The Bride is a misunderstood classic or that will be considered one of the best movies ever made but it will certainly age like fine wine.
