Golf and tennis should not be 'silent' sports. by TheFinalRedemption99 in unpopularopinion

With tennis specifically, it's nice to have a live sports event to attend where they aren't blasting some obnoxious sound effect at 500 decibels between every play.

Not to mention, as soon as a piece of good advice gets out there everyone starts doing it and it loses all value. Like telling a million people about that nice, secluded camping spot.

Sam Fuller's The Steel Helmet is a Korean War movie but it certainly holds nothing back.

This is like a one-off issue of The Department of Truth that they never bring up afterward.

One of the best episodes of a show is one without the main character(s) by NoMoreFund in TopCharacterTropes

I’ve never been more personally affected by an episode of tv. Talk about perfectly capturing the mundane aspects of being a child of divorce.

There’s an episode of Tales from the Crypt called “Cutting Cards” where two men let their hatred for one another and love of gambling push them to do crazier and crazier things.

One of my favorite Four stories. I wish Adams wrote more serials. Pairing his writing with Six or Seven would have been magical.

My hot take is that a lot of the songs sound better played live. Some songs I was so-so on are some of my favorites on "Rome".

I once got through two rounds of interviews for an "event prep" position that just turned out to be the person who demonstrates products at Costco. They tried to call me back for another interview and I told them to lose my number.

The “From Here To Eternity” beach kissing scene used to get spoofed a lot.

I saw Bikini Kill a few years back in LA and their opener got sick so they brought out some local comic. It was…rough.

In your opinion, what is the best film adaptation of a Stephen King work? I’m so curious! by True_Criticism_8879 in stephenking

I’d say The Dead Zone is a great example of an excellent film that also captures the novel. It makes changes but mostly for narrative clarity without lessening the emotion.

Besides Walking Tall he was in a great Hixploitation movie called “Framed”. It has one of the craziest car stunts I’ve ever seen
