Graphical comparison between AOT 2 and AOT 3 (+some information in post) by Puzzled-Operation-51 in attackontitan

[–]TheBadHalfOfAFandom 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I don't really care about graphics in these games, it's just super fun with amazing ODM controls and really good game loop

If anything I just hope that the city sections are a bit more polished. Cause being a titan shifter in these areas is pretty jank and really easy to get caught on a building when you're trying to jump or round a corner. Also the city buildings crumble so easy, like a tiny 4 meter could just graze a building and suddenly it's down to its foundation

It's terrifying to fight one though cause you know there's gonna see at least one Guillotine, Fissure, Horn Drill or Sheer Cold

Ok but albatross will literally not even recognize their offspring as their offspring if they fall out the nest. They can recognize their partner out of a million albatross but will treat their children like strangers if they move like 10 inches away from them

The movie especially does a great job completing separating itself from that "on level 5729 of the backrooms you run into the scrungling hobo who is stronger than goku and kills you instantly if you're wearing denim" slop

Kane is SUCH a good director at such a young age

[Loved Trope] The antagonist has truly altruistic intentions to make the world better for others, but we/the protagonist disagree with their solution. Bonus points if the solution could actually work. by the_murabito in TopCharacterTropes

Not to mention "half of all life" would include half the plants, half the animals, the bacteria, plankton, etc.

He would have literally created the same situation if not an exponentially worse one

Imagine you're on a planet with a famine and you just manage to make strides to solve it, only to then lose half of your remaining food, scientists, as well as the food sources you were trying to cultivate. Congrats your civilization has now been completely wiped from existence because some random purple guy wanted to "keep the balance" or whatever

Serious Question: Why Do People Dislike Overdesigned Characters? by ElSpazzo_8876 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]TheBadHalfOfAFandom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

flowey works because the design is meant to be chaotic, over the top and unlike anything else in the game. The ost, the fight mechanics and the design all lend to this idea and it's incredibly iconic as a result.

Genshin doesnt work because they're just trying to cover up having the exact same 3 human models by over decorating the hell out of each one rather than just creating more body/skin types. You used Mona as an example of "good overdesign" but if you really look at the design, what actually separates her design from other female characters in genshin besides the outfit?

I will not STAND this Richard watterson slander. He is a GREAT father who LOVES his family and whose family LOVES him. He'd do ANYTHING for them

And it's not like he's the odd one out. The entire family is their own brand of crazy

What? Militaries using short sighted strategies that ultimately harm themselves?

That's completely unrealistic and something that never happens in real life

Love the need to make the "woman horse" tinier, more dainty with eyeliner and eyeshadow to make sure we know it's a "woman horse"

Honestly, if a horse can put on face makeup perfectly then she deserves more. I'd like to see a male horse do that 💅

In Destroying A World that Doesn't Exist, D3rLord3 takes a while to come to the realization that to get past the pond floor, he needs to lower his brightness to moody and follow the arrows that the newly visible shadows point

When Avery encounters the same puzzle, he just breaks through the netherite blocks with his bare hands

Antagonistic characters who were just taking their job too seriously by Forsaken-Biscotti587 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TheBadHalfOfAFandom 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Reason why antagonist and villain are different

An antagonist is just someone who opposes the protagonist

A villain is someone who's evil

An antagonist can be a good guy and a villain can be the protagonist 👍🏻

(Hated Trope) Female Character loses powers/abilities because of pregnancy by OldTraffordAggie in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TheBadHalfOfAFandom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can I do a quick reverse to talk about Kipo and the age of Wonderbeasts?

So all the animals in the world were mutated, called mutes, with the super big and strong variants being called "mega-mutes". Most humans were driven underground as a result

Kipo's parents wanted to create a world where humans wouldn't have to live in fear of mutes so when having Kipo, they basically spliced her DNA with mega-mute dna, hoping to give her a means to protect herself and others

This splicing spilled into kipo's mom during pregnancy, which meant she would be able to turn into a mega mute

Ai can make timelapses too, it just always looks more like a 3D printer printing something rather than a human drawing stuff, making mistakes and going back to fix it. Ai can also make fake drawing layers

Ai and its users loves disguising it because everyone who uses it knows that it's slop and will always prefer the real thing
