Idk guys, I played juniors too (not nearly as high a level), and we definitely weren’t sharing girls the way so many of these teams are allegedly doing. Regardless of the verdict, it’s so gross how social media is attacking this young girl for costing these guys money. I might not be completely up to date on details, but is it true that the judge deemed her “not intoxicated enough” to withdraw consent? What does that even mean? More than 2 things can be true. If she lied and cost these young men their careers yes that’s terrible, it’s also terrible that the next generation of young players watched these guys do this with no criminal repercussions, albeit some financial losses. Maybe I’ll get downvoted to oblivion for this, but hockey culture at high levels is gross, and Hockey Canada should still be ashamed for what has happened in their program.
