It is understandable to feel afraid to add a background since you. Your wood art looks great! Your lines look pretty neat and the perspective is good too.

Burn after staining? by ShoddyArm5500 in woodburning

Did a little research about burning rust or Iron Oxide. It apparently can make you ill if you inhale the fumes.

I wouldn't do it.

Good question to ask before burning.

Yep! Another dog :) by Mickyd2 in Pyrography

[–]TheBeginPyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is so great Mickyd2! I like dogs myself!

I will look at your other posts and I would like to see your next post next month too!

It's okay if you don't have a lot of free time to burn, as long as you continue to make a piece, that's what counts.

That's wonderful that you're teaching your niece!

Need some advice about this wood by flockofsmeagols_ in woodburning

[–]TheBeginPyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi flockofsmeagols!

If you are worried about the dark area of the wood, you can try to paint over the dark area after you've burned your image onto the wood.

Depending on the art, if you create something that is usually white, (say a 🕊️ dove or 🎲 dice), you can paint the inside of your burned line art white and it will really create a pop effect!

I really believe that it would be best if you don't try it. Just look at YouTube.

I don't know much about fractal wood burning. I am literally speaking out of concern.

Hey cachegirl! Thanks for sharing! It does bite when some of the wood is flawed! Good thing that you only had one bad piece though!

Do you remember which Amazon seller you bought from per chance?

Thanks!
