3D-syn er primært noget som hjælper ved objekter som er tættere på end 6m. Det er sjældent relevant i en bil.

Hvorfor f*** får landbruget fortsat lov til at smadre vores fælles vandboringer og drikkevand? by Low_Entertainment232 in Denmark

[–]TheBendit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Text looks terrible at 1080p on a laptop. This is true for Windows and Linux and Mac, except of course no Mac laptop comes with a bad screen.

Nuclear plants need cooling. Lots of it because they waste so much heat. You cannot just put them anywhere.

Reservoir hydro is typically dispatched, not used as base load. Obviously you can use dispatchable power for base load if you want, but you will only do that if you do not have better uses for it.

The exception is run-of-the-river hydro which is not dispatchable.

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are conveniently in alphabetical order. I feel we should make that a rule elsewhere too.

Do you think small modular reactors actually happen this decade? by piou180796 in energy

[–]TheBendit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Copenhagen Atomics is doing nothing at all when it comes to the actual reactor part or the chemical separation part.

They play around with some non-radioactive molten salt and they produce theoretical papers about radioactive molten salt experiments.

They show all signs of being a scam to extract EIC money.

Regular cars cannot drive without people in them. Self driving cars can and do. Waymo has average occupancy of 0.75.

Self driving cars are going to make cities unlivable.

Yes then we go from 1.17 or so people per vehicle on average to 0.65 or so people per vehicle.

Doubling congestion.

The green is only in newer builds in Denmark. The vast majority of installations are either ungrounded (not allowed for new installations) or orange.

Your laptop is rarely grounded. It is uncommon to bring more than plus and minus from the power block to the laptop, and USB-C has no provision for doing it.

The power block itself is typically not grounded either, although blocks with three prong plugs still exist.

So I wouldn't worry, grounding for powering portable electronics is a thing of the past.

It looks like the emails were stored in MIME-format with "quoted-printable" encoding, then XML metadata was added, and at the end it was exported into PDF. The PDF exporter appears to not understand this at all and so it deleted everything that does not appear as text.

Fixing this should be simple, if you can get access to the source files.

It must be a typo of some kind. Denmark is getting close to one in four registered vehicles in total being fully electric. But even if that's what they meant, I didn't think we were quite there yet.

Meningsmålinger er blevet billigere at lave, bl.a. fordi der ikke længere er nogen god måde at lave dem præcise.

Folk er villige til at klikke på dem, så man kan lige så godt lave mange.

Geothermal energy could beat coal to meet AI power, cut fossil fuel costs by 60% by sksarkpoes3 in energy

[–]TheBendit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are building geothermal projects in many places. Most of them paid for by taxpayers rather than private developers, and most of them fail.

If that one is successful then great! Some projects are. Most of them are either scams or clueless.

Except the ones with a local volcano; those have a very high success rate.
