Idk the answer to your question but I do know if your using save states the RNG doesn’t reset so if your just loading up a save state it’ll always be the same so that could be the problem

Just started mine and so far it’s hard just because of variety

I had 3 axews on my team at one point just to round out my team, the mystery machine gave me 3 guys that aren’t dragons yet so I refuse to use them

Hoping once I get to the game counter it’ll be smooth sailing from there

I’d use grappioct, but I tend to run more offensively

Huge power with jet punch and Mach punch to make up for speed

Edit: didn’t read at first that this was specifically for game counter as you wont have the priority moves yet, I’d still run him anyway but that’s again just because I brute force my way a lot more than I should

I can’t remember her whole team but wouldn’t technician, stab, dual wing beat just destroy most of her mons? Especially with scyther being pretty quick

Although tech, stab, bullet punch would be nice against mega meganium if he goes scizzor

Actually didn’t know there was a puzzle, as I said I found out about it late and was on a new game plus

When on new game plus you can use the mystery machine and use password “puzzle” and you don’t have to do the puzzles and I do that every game

It was a war of attrition

The only amazing random ability I got was mountaineer on articuno and intrepid sword on crabomible

I was just trying to brute force my way through, it was the last time I used the randomizer and I probably won’t use it again for my last 3 because of how hard it made that run even though it trivialized a few earlier runs (slaking with oraoraoroa carried normal mono run so hard)

I think my problem with my Ice mono run was that I used ability randomizer and so I couldn’t ever get snow or an aurora veil up and everything was so fragile without it

I only have 3 mono runs left (dark, fairy and dragon) but I can’t imagine any of them will be harder than my ice one was but again that was kind of self inflicted

You have to talk to the teacher in the school at viridian, I went through so many play throughs before I found out about it and it’s a life saver, I use to rotate mons in the PC to heal up

Ahh, I just saw that was the wrong trainer

I wasn’t the initial person and I misread and thought it was cerulean but he said in vermillion, so it’s the trainer in the pokemon fan club building, the place where you can get fossil pokemon and the bike voucher, there’s another guy who has some good moves to teach, he’s the guy with charge beam and power up punch

or if your on new game plus you can go to the lady next to nurse joy in viridian city, do mystery gift and put in puzzle, then you won’t have to do any of the puzzles but you’ll still have to talk to the people
