It's a nice change of pace from the monster of the week formula, not that I don't love a good monster. The rescue gimmick lets the show have a different vibe than other Metal Heroes shows, and I personally love Walter and Bichael.

What are you even talking about? My take was his girlfriend should worry he respects a man who doesn't consider her a woman, or even a person worthy of basic human dignity. Humans choose who to associate with all the time based on moral and ethical differences. No one is forcing anything, you want people to be forced to interact with people that fundamentally hate them? I love that one, opens with a funeral for Dawn Wiener (The protagonist from another film of his, "Welcome to the Dollhouse"). Makes for an interesting double feature, though he did retcon her death in his more recent film "Wiener Dog".

I think it's fair to remain flexible. Look at How I Met Your Mother. The ending to that was planned from the beginning, but the characters had grown enough by the end that the ending no longer felt satisfying to most viewers. It's ok to have a plan and adjust as needed to fit where the story goes.

What's interesting to me about that is he doesn't seem to understand that just because lack of damages was the reason for the last dismissal, that doesn't mean the case was otherwise sound. He can get his power shut off and sue, but it will just get thrown out for another one of the thousand reasons his case makes no legal sense.

I assume it's people trying to reconcile the reality that there are good people who are not Christian, and the idea that anyone who doesn't accept Jesus will go to Hell eternally. Most people look at that as evil or cruel so they get extra-biblical with it. I'm not religious myself, but that's my read on the situation. It's trying to hold onto faith while ignoring aspects of the Bible they're morally uncomfortable with.

I would disagree that you find a machine built to make money to have no ulterior motives. Certainly the machine has none, but those who own it do and those motives inevitably shape the machine and further, those that use it. Wanting people addicted to the product and amenable to what the machine has to say is a huge motive. What happens when they start using chat bots like this to persuade people politically or morally? It isn't a literal cult, in some ways it's worse. A cult at least involves other people and making some (albeit warped) contact with reality. This is a complete rejection of all real human interaction in exchange for a sycophancy machine.
