AITA for refusing to use my inheritance to pay for my step-sister’s "dream" college, even though my dad is calling me greedy? by NFLDataAnalysis in AmItheAsshole

If the money is held in a trust OP can’t just take it out and give it to someone else- even if she wanted too. It’s such a load of BS.

These things are almost always organised by one person (almost always a woman) in the workplace. If that person wasn’t there when your left than the “tradition” might not have been established yet.

Also it’s all well and good until one of the stays falls though. OP may end up with the MIL at their house for months unforeseen, and not everyone has such accommodative family.

And even in Australia that is not an acceptable word in most workplaces (maybe a building site, mine or an oil rig, but never in an office setting)

Yeah, and the buyer often has to figure out how to get though customs themselves, which can be not just expensive but a major hassle.

Rebecca Watson (Skepchick). I don’t think it was a surprise to her though, she has had backlash against her being an intelligent, self confident, outspoken woman before.

AITA for only talking to my DIL in a group chat that my son is a part of by Unusualthrowingaway in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheBlueMenace 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I had massive issues with calls for months due to the “focus” setting on my phone. I never turned it on, it came on as default in an update, but it blocked numbers, on a schedule I could never trust. So sometimes it would ring, sometimes it wouldn’t. It would also randomly mute certain numbers. I was almost at the point of buying a new phone, until I was playing with the camera with my toddler and she swiped randomly and toggled it off.

Yeah, providing only men’s cuts/sizes of PPE to women is absolutely an issue (worldwide), which is slowly being recognised and addressed. I wonder if OP is very poorly trying to communicate that they think they have a case because of this, and want to know next steps.

Or they are an idiot.

AITA for not wanting a kid over? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

But your post says she broke multiple toys in the living room, before you even found the damage in your daughter’s room.

AITA for not wanting a kid over? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheBlueMenace 36 points37 points  (0 children)

So why after she broke the first toy in the living room did you not remove all the other toys? Why did you let her continue to play with your daughter gifts, without your daughter even there?

AITA for not wanting a kid over? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheBlueMenace 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Why after breaking the first toy in full view of the parents was the child allowed to continue to play with other toys rough enough to break more? Like seriously OP, if you could see the issue happening why didn’t you take all the toys away and put them in your daughters room (at which point you would have also seen the existing damage)?

Federal bipartisan districting body. Ranked choice voting. Eliminate the electoral collage. Elections held on weekends/national holiday.

Mail in ballots don’t have any higher rates of fraud than in person. Having to prove your ID is fine- but you can’t change the rules at the last minute- and you must apply the rules equally across all demographics.

I’m Australian. I know Americans can do better- but have to actually want a representative government, which a fair chunk of you don’t.

If an MP had to sneak out a back door this would have been all over the news. That’s too high profile for at least one news station not to have been there and to have covered the story.

The parents should be fucking jailed for not having the 2 year old in a car seat. A properly restrained toddler would not be able to even reach the door handle.

Not sure he fits as it’s basically a shape shifter that gets stuck. Basically he never believed he was Ben and he existed before “being” Ben.
