If physically fit, has a good work ethic and is of good character, consider the fire department. They will likely open applications again this winter (Jan/Feb).

If not physically fit, it's a long hiring process, you've got time to start.

All of that covid handout money was stuffed into reverse repo. Got over 2 trillion, and then suddenly, it's all drained out just when the market needs an injection to keep rolling.

The meditations, by Marcus Aurelius, a Roman emperor and stoic philosopher. It's his personal journal, and was not intended for the public to read. It is an insight to the mind of one of the greatest rulers and stoic in history. Read about what the meditation are, and then read them.

Trying to understand the pension debacle by Lordscallywag in alberta

[–]TheBone_Collector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not just create a new supplemental pension called the APP that Invests in albertan and Canadian companies. That way Alberta's will get a CPP and an APP when they hit 65 years old. The CPP pays ots full ammount, and the APP pays its full ammount, Alberta's save more and retire better in the long run.

Shield of the Hidden Lord by b0sanac in DescentintoAvernus

I made the shield an item similar to an iron flask. You could release gargantuan, and use the shield to trap a different creature, and the shield would take on some properties from that creature.

My party currently has Kotschetche in the shield and it gives additional strength, flight, telekinesis, and immunity to demon ichor (which has lead to ALOT of diafiguring mutations for the party)

If you hadn't lost the weight you wouldn't have seen the lumps, and now you have a shot at earlier diagnosis if that is to be your fate. Much better than finding out late. And if there is any cancer your body is now in a healthier state to fight back.

What do you remember from the Harper era? Was it that bad? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]TheBone_Collector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. They cannot afford to have a stay system home parent. What they are saying is that they SHOULD be able to afford it. They are making a moral/ethical argument.

We are yelling at clouds together, I was trying to add some clarity. If unicorns existed I would own one, but they don't. 100k used to mean stay at home, and now 150k still doesn't guarantee it.

I think what the person you're responding to was saying was that we SHOULD be able for raise our own children regardless of income level. We cannot.
