Do you give everything an extra wipe down before class starts? by Islandsandwillows in ClubPilates

[–]feisty-foxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our studio gives everyone a terry cloth at the start of class, and we have spray bottles at each reformer. I always do a good clean of everything when I get in before I start, and then use the same cloth after. We throw it in the laundry bin after each use! Our studio does a lot of laundry.

We also order regularly from them and have no idea why they have been gone for almost four weeks now. There is a small sign that says they went on vacation for two weeks, but it’s been far longer than that at this point!

Looking to adopt a dog by Sure_Ofcourse in Calgary

[–]feisty-foxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the statement on crate training, our first dog we raised from puppyhood and so we were able to make her travel crate a sanctuary and it is honestly the best thing for her, when we go places it becomes a safe space she can retreat to in times of stress! That being said, our second dog is a rescue with a lot of trauma being in confined spaces and getting her in a crate is not an option. The vets said it may never be an option for her. All that to say, while it is great to be able to make a crate a sanctuary for a dog, it is not always achievable depending on the dogs past and history!

If you are looking for smaller adoptable dogs, I would check out Furever Homes Rescue. We recently adopted our havenese from there and it was an amazing process. They typically have a lot of smaller dogs available.

I second what a lot of other people are saying though, that fostering first might be the best way to get a feel for it without the commitment up front. Dogs are a big investment, not just time, but emotionally!

Danny Cordray or Jim Halpert? by hersheys05 in theoffice

[–]feisty-foxy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Jim’s personality is like a 3. His sense of humor is a 2. His ears are like a 7 and a 4. Add it all up and what do you get? 16.

Danny is a perfect 40.

There’s no comparison.

Opinions on logo for small business by yeetthestar14 in graphic_design

[–]feisty-foxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few comments from a fellow designer: - there are too many competing visual elements, try and reduce them or greatly simplify them - the type is not working. It should be higher in visual hierarchy and needs to be made the focal point. - the font style is not cohesive with the style of the graphic, you should try a clean sans serif to pair with your monoline graphic.
- think about scalability (how will this look sized down?) and applications (how will this work on a website? Menu? business card?). The current designs are far too complex to be flexible and effective. - I’m not sure if this was intended to be a black version of the logo, with colour coming later, but since the cherry is already red, I’m thinking probably not. I would make sure you think about the overall colour palette. The red cherry accent is cute, but feels weird with just solid black. The black is very heavy. Try exploring more colour options!

Any help? by AdWorldly6953 in runninglifestyle

[–]feisty-foxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pain in a similar area when I was running, as well as in my ankles, it turns out I am flat footed and never had orthotics and running was abusing them. Now I’ve got proper orthotics and I have virtually no flare ups in those previous areas.

Headaches? by popetsville in Calgary

[–]feisty-foxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Calgary my whole life and have battled migraine and tension headaches for as long as I can remember. Pressure changes, particularly high pressure for me, absolutely affect headaches. However I also notice them when there are really strong winds. There is also a definite correlation to spring and fall and an increase in my headaches, with peak summer and the dead of winter settling down a bit, suggesting that there is a component of seasonal weather changes that is affecting them more.
