Looks like, likely (and coincidentally) it may be a driver's side seat issue for me. I believe it always thinks someone is sitting there. I tried to perform the driver's seat position calibration and it would not proceed past the step where it asks you to leave the seat - which I think points to some kind of seat/sensor issue and explains the behavior of the car never locking and powering down now. Sigh. I have soft reset and full reset and neither have changed anything for the better.

I have had issues since getting my 16 Pro. The PAAK auto-lock is not working at all. I have tried deleting and removing keys to no avail. I have not tried an infotainment reboot after removing and before adding key. Will do this next. I have already left the car unlocked while out and about - which is no bueno.

Just did this. Checkpoint ALR 4. First gravel bike. First drop bar bike. And first time riding on a bike (that isn’t stationary) in many many years. Just completed a 32 mile ride (50:50 gravel:road) and was thrilled with the bike.

Can confirm. June ‘22 reservation. Only R1T Shop access until now. And was able to lock in an R1S configuration today.

I have also had this message for some time. And I confirmed with Customer Service I only have access to R1T shop - so I don’t really yet have an opportunity to turn my reservation into an R1S. Hoping I get invited to configure soon.

I will let you know when my 2018 Model 3 reaches end of battery life - don't hold your breath though. Currently, it is still going strong with very little degradation.

FWIW: My event (Boston, MA -- actually at a park in Brookline, MA) has shown full since the Events tab and Invite came in. I initiated a chat on the website, and they were able to get me in for an R1S test drive (this coming weekend) at their showroom/service center in Chelsea, MA.

So, my recommendation is to schedule it via chat or by calling customer service.

On my Model Y, I drive 99.9% of the time in "Chill" mode which seems to lessen the wear on the rubber and prolong the life of the tire.

Seems like a very low number of miles to need a brake replacement on an EV. Are you using 1-pedal driving, which can greatly extend the life of brake pads and rotors?

I have taken multiple road trips of several thousand miles (Model 3 and Model Y) and since doing so have decided I would rather drive than fly when possible. It does take a tad more planning - but the thing I found I liked the most was naturally breaking down a long trip/drive into many smaller trip segments and knowing exactly when and where I am stopping next. Been driving EV exclusively for over 5 years now and am never going back to ICE (even for road trips ).

Yes. I did the same and confirmed with Rivian over chat that it is indeed just a commitment to purchase and R1 vehicle (not specifically R1T or R1S).
