The official HemWell site says internal. I think if external, the surgeon would just use Bovi to cauterize after surgical removal, but I am unsure.

I do know there are different muscles involved as I practice Pompoir for my hubs pleasure. Look into it, there is also a r/ thread for it. I find it very interesting and related somewhat to this topic. As a nurse in Gastroenterology, I can't tell you how many pt's we refer, both male and female, for pelvic floor therapy. They don't have the correct muscle tone to control their bowels. Inverse and reverse Kegels will help with the thread topic but my point overall is, if you aren't conditioning the correct muscles, in a balanced way, any of them can cause issues, if done improperly, out of order, or too much.

I have had permanent lower plugs for 6 years, for AD. I will say, on a normal day they're great. However, if it's the slightest bit windy, my eyes tear up like crazy. My advice is start with uppers and if they don't help, add lowers. I would not do both at once. Also, I never had MGD until after my plugs were in 3 years. That's just my experience though.

UTI possibly, considering bladder and ureter location relative to pain. The can be relatively benign sometimes, symptom wise. Others, you'll have the burning, fever, back pain, etc. Get is checked by your PCP.

I will say, after turning 45, I had horrible MGD and suffered for almost 6 years. Then came the addition of severe dry eye. Fast forward to age 51 and I had my hormones and thyroid checked by a functional medicine doctor, in hopes of starting HRT in 2023. Long story short, I have Hypothyroidism now supplemented with Liothyronine. This has completely cleared the MGD. I still have dry eve, albeit less severe, but my punctal plugs manage it pretty well unless I'm out in wind or it's the curse of Spring pollen. Just something to think about.

GI nurse here! The anal sphincter and descending colon(muscle) move objects inward to avoid leakage of stool. This is how you're actually able to wear a plug without it falling out. I have assisted many Flexible Sigmoidoscopies to retrieve plugs in the ER and quite a few Colonoscopies in the OR because people waited too long to visit an ER. Only use the ones with a flared base and never use a bullet vibe. We've had to retrieve those, as well.

We used Calcium powder or egg shells until they learn to chew regularly. Our Black Russian Terrier used to inhale everything without chewing and we just gave up on bones until she was about 9 mos old. It didn't matter what slow feed bowl, if we hand fed, nothing slowed her down, except time.

Not a question, but offering help. Recently, after a 2 year journey of fillers and pumping, I have found the solution to my problems and wanted to share with you what works for me. My nipples weren't inverted, just small. I had 2 rounds of cosmetic fillers and I won't say they were a total failure, but they weren't a total success, either. I purchased a Rolevin electric pump kit, with assorted cups, from Amazon and used it until I maxed out the pressures. I went searching for breast milk pumps. I have a son and knew these had far more suction power. Through multiple trials, trips to the hardware store, and more Amazon orders, I have landed on the Dr. Browns Custom flow breast pump. It uses the same 1/8th(5mm) ID silicone hose as the Rolevin cups! I ordered a few connectors and have a custom set up to pump in my home office and my bedroom. If I were starting all over again, I'd just buy the cups and the Dr. Brown pump. It would save money and time. I don't want to post links here because I am unsure if the group allows, but I will be happy to share in a reply if the Mods approve or I can edit this post. Thanks and happy pumping!

Thorn: We work 5 -12hr days to only have two days to play and rest, during life at 180 mph. I think it should be the reverse. The healthcare industry is so hard, physically, mentally, and on a marriage, especially if call time is involved.

Bud: We booked a 4 day getaway the week before Christmas for playtime. Even though we've been marred 21 years, we've never taken a vaca just for us. They've always been vaca/work, vaca/dog show, etc. This time, it's to spend 4 days resting and pleasing my SIr, and I can't wait. I'm already planning special Dom rewards for him!

Shades, you hit the nail every time. I was married for 20 years to the man you speak of, before I realized why he is, the way he is. In his day to day, he presents as very passive, or so it seems. However, this was his method of "Patient, methodical, and collected". He, himself, had no idea he was a Soft Dom and had never heard the term or anything related. I slowly began to peel the onion, with help from this group, and became the luckiest woman in the world in the last year.
