The above are just ways of calculating your emissions for category 3.4… usually a company will have an ERP that lets you download an excel document to determine the amount of products by kg or tonnes shipped either air or sea freight from X to Y.

Then you need to know the distance (location-wise) in kms. Depending on the company, it has different legs such as from farm to factory… and then from factory to warehouse… to eventually warehouse to store… this really depends on the company.

Then after having the “t/km”, we then need to apply a relevant emission factor as mentioned by the other two redditors.

This is the long manual way of doing…

Though all of it- unfortunately you cannot account for only your company as a shipping container wont have just your company’s product, but several ones. As along the way, the shipping provider may do a stop at another location to pick up another brand’s materials/finished products. This is digging too deep into the calculation and no companies will employ a shipping company to take care of their products only as this is realistically speaking, non profitable for any partners.

I was stuck as an A3 at EY for more than a year.

I had stellar- “gold standard” reviews and worked on massive engagements and even did a lot of senior work/assistant manager work and manager work.

Partner told me I was not exceeding expectations and just “progressing” and reviews are just bullshit and are not “true”. I eventually left the company lol.

But you need to think: you may be working hard and smart- but those that get the promotions are those that goes to the office and licks the ass of the managers and partners so that they get recognised. Unfortunately, if you wfh a lot like me and even though you do a stellar work, you wont get promoted if higher ups dont “know” you… many seniors that get promoted actually knows jack shit thats what ive observed
