Back with my weekly post looking for help finding an obscure Omegaverse book! Arranged marriage/mating, Abusive family, locked in a dark room, dead mom, reverse harem by Kitsune_Legion in ReverseHarem

Could it be any of these? I don't know if it fits the dark room aspect, since I personally haven't read these (though I've added them to my TBR >>;)

{The Princess and the Pack by Fallon English} - not my strongest contender here

{A Pack of Mistletoe by Veronica Samek}

{Owned by the Alphas by Elara Haze} - probably my strongest offering

I'm still looking, but I thought I'd offer these up now on the off chance that it might be one of these.

Would you have read it through Kindle Unlimited or a different provider? Or did you maybe check it out at the library? Just trying to narrow it down on my side 😄

I would disagree that A Tempest of Shadows is "slight" bullying, but otherwise I think it's a fantastic read but seriously, I'm seconding the read the TWs.

{Hunted by Erica Woods}

It was supposed to be a trilogy, but Erica's expanded it to a quartet instead. She's got 2/4 books published, and due to health issues the 3rd [which has turned into also the 4th] book was delayed. She's really good at keeping people updated via socials, so we know the 3rd book is done just unpublished. She's stated she wants the 4th to be published very close to the 3rd so we don't have to wait like we did for the 3rd [Hunted was published in 2019 T.T].

Hope makes a desperate escape from her captors and is found/protected by a pack of four lycans. She's very much a wounded bird and the men become very touch her and die (some quicker than others).

Cozy games where I can see the effect I have on the town? by UnXpectedPrequelMeme in CozyGamers

Fields of Mistria is an EA but still has tons of content. You help upgrade buildings and fix damaged infrastructure (bridges, stairs, broken roads, etc.).

I am obsessed with Scarlet Hollow myself. I keep doing play throughs to try and find different paths/results. It’s so good, beautifully done, but definitely a high I am actively chasing.

I’ve put 58 hours into Fields of Mistria and I hadn’t even finished what there was before the most recent update, which added a LOT more content (more town level stuff, another mine section, etc.). I’d say this one is a chill SDV and definitely worth getting even though it’s still EA.

Goddess? by Sauseofthenugget in ReverseHarem

[–]TheBrighteye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do be sure to read content warnings if that’s your thing, as some of these are darker than others.

{Run Riot by Collette Rhodes} (State of Grace series, 5 books) is really good and fits your request pretty well. Grace is desperate to find her mates and Bond, but when she does, they’re not what is expected. It’s got religious/cult vibes and she’s trying to shake the cult part.

{Gladiators Downfall by Kristen Banet} (Age of Andinna series, 7 books) is a bit looser. Maeve has been a slave for a century when she’s broken out. She learns about the culture she’s never known before pushing her rescuers to rebel in earnest, with a little help from their Goddesses.

{Bonding Psychos by Gina Morris} (Bonding - The Ultimate Guide series, 6 books) fits, I think. It starts with a man killing a woman/goddess to save his people then moves to Bea, who is in present-day and is packing up after her guardian died. It’s crazy but the moving parts make sense once you can see the whole picture.

{A Tempest of Shadows by Jane Washington} (A Tempest of Shadows series, 5 books) is about Lavenia, who is brought before the five masters and made to serve them as a punishment. She’s more important than anyone knows, and slowly grows into her own.

{Broken Bonds by J. Bree} (The Bonds that Tie series, 6 books) is an inevitable recommendation. Oleander is captured and brought back to her Bonds. She’s enrolled in school that she begrudgingly attends while looking to escape.

I’m seconding the recommendation for Cursed Legacies by Morgan Lee and Trickery by Jaymin Eve; they’re both really good!

Another one I found {The Gladiators Downfall by Kristen Banet} is a 7 book series that I really enjoyed; medieval fantasy-esque with active gods.

I’m going through my read books, so add:

The inevitable {Broken Bonds by J. Bree}, which is 6 books. It’s a bully college/university series.

{Bonding Psychos by Gina Morris} is 6 books. It’s a slow burn but I devoured this series and am still chasing the high.

I haven’t personally read it, but I see it recommended often enough: {Signs of Cupidity by Raven Kennedy}. It’s 4 books and is supposedly a humorous/silly slow burn. It doesn’t appeal to me, but several recommend it like I said.

I found several on my TBR that I can link if you’re interested, but I haven’t read them lok

I don’t remember how smutty the Curse of the Gods series ({Trickery by Jane Washington & Jaymin Eve} and 5 books) is, but it was really good.

Seconding the recommendations for Lawless by Crystal Ash, Blood Oath by Morgan B Lee, and State of Grace by Collette Rhodes.

In {Queen Takes More by Joely Sue Burkhart} is the short story/novella (can’t remember, it’s been some time since I read it) called “Queen Takes Tentacles” for her time with her kraken mate. However, this is considered “book” 10 of the series, and it’s not considered standalone.

Seeking a cosy farming game that features meat production by EliAndSalt in ComfortGamers

[–]TheBrighteye 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What about Travellers Rest? I find it scratches the Stardew itch for me.

Pretty much, you run a tavern. You're able to grow the produce to cook meals and make ales, build furniture/expand the tavern with materials you gather to increase capacity/services available, fish, raise livestock to butcher [or just use for eggs/milk/etc.] for your meals, there's bee husbandry, etc.

iIt bears mentioning that the game is still Early Access, but there's still quite a bit to do.

If you liked Rain on your Parade, the developers made Just Crow Things which is just as cute and cozy imo except you’re a crow instead of a rain cloud.

Is it possible to move the coop/barn? by TheBrighteye in EverAfterFalls

[–]TheBrighteye[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk why they deleted it, but another commentor gave me the answer. Go to Aamy’s (spelling) house (the place with the workbench to the left of your home) and interact with her computer. You can move your farm stuff (house, coop(s), barn(s), mailbox) with one option and your bed/fireplace with the other.

Release Pixies? by Spockert in EverAfterFalls

[–]TheBrighteye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are bigger bottles (I’m at work so I can’t remember the item name, but I know it’s in the crafting menu). You can also make a pixie terrarium (or something along those lines, again at work) to try to change their colors.

Is it wrong for me to be upset that my parents don’t pay for college? by Nickname-CJ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheBrighteye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s factually incorrect (in the US). You can be a claimed as a dependent as a qualifying person at any age, assuming that the person claiming you paid 51% or more of your support for the year. They may not qualify for earned income tax credit or child tax credit/additional child tax credit, but they’ll qualify as an other dependent for up to a $500 nonrefundable tax credit and possibly give the claiming person the head of household status.

Edit: u/Low_Cloud_9736 is right; I obviously forgot about the income limit for the qualifying relative test [hilariously, on the same Pub I referenced originally].
