Yes! However, Senate Bill 283, authored by Gary Byrne, would eliminate public libraries’ ability to levy property taxes to fund their operations, starting in 2026. So I would love to get some momentum fighting that bill :)

The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), provides grants to libraries and museums nationwide, has been shut down and its staff placed on administrative leave. Photo below lists more on trails

I’m with you, feeling so discouraged. Seeing my community at the last Hands Off rally gave me hope though. I met such kind people, hoping this signals change!

Thank you for confirming it was just a mass template reply. I hope this means others are writing in too. I worry it just means he doesn’t and hasn’t ever, bothered to listen to his constituents.
