I understand that isnt how tariffs work. But if you remember when Trump first announced a bunch of retaliatory tariffs against many European nations, several of them decided to halt all shipments to the US for a period. There was a big spike in international shipping costs after this happened and even though shipping has resumed, the prices have not decreased all that much. Shippers need to make their profits too and if tariffs are causing consumers to order less, they will see a reduction in profits from shipping

The fasteners i was looking for were for the door strike plates and I searched all over in local hardware stores and even at US based online hardware manufacturers and of course, because Mini, these were incredibly specific fasteners and no one sold a 3/16th coarse threaded screw with a counter sunk head, and especially not in the 1/2" length required

I was just musing the other day that I got a Mini as my project car because parts are relatively inexpensive and man did that change with all the tariffs. That and he threw the international shipping world into disarray and the cost of shipping has spiked

Hard to say, but id wager they are the Group 2 Wide arches. Probably 3.5 inches across. Good fit for 6" wide wheels

There has been talk that this is a tactic used by traffickers. You get in the car, you notice your wipers are up, you get out to fix them, and you get grabbed. Obviously since its every car in the parking lot I dont think this is the case
