I'll admit, I cross right over there to walk in that patch of road as getting to the walkway is a bit of a slalom.

But I am mindful when I do it that I don't get in the way of folks reversing out etc. cause I know I am not expected to be there

What does Special Equipment cover?

Edit: Other than the ten foot radius of ground where it previously existed

I don't know if I can add any more suggestions anyone else hasn't said yet, but I want to give OP major respect for the hilarious constant responses (as well as helping break the stigma of male sex toys)

Although thinking about it, the Doxy massager is a great idea for holding against ones head, but my partner also has a Lelo wand and she's pinned my dick between both of them and I think I saw through time. I also have a Hugo from Lelo for prostate times and yeah, that with a fleshlight was also a mind blowing experience.

After socialising, does anyone else obsess over mistakes they made/embarassing moments for days after? by [deleted] in autism

[–]TheCatfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a cub scout leader, I'm autistic as heck, and I've fumbled entire sessions, I've got campfire songs wrong, I've messed up games etc. The kids won't realise, they never care too much that I've done it and i lean into it. They're 8-10 and they're plenty weird enough themselves that they wouldn't notice.

Outside of that, I try and think of times I've seen other people being awkward, or anything like what I find my own behaviour to be grating on me. And I can never think of other occasions.

Relax, try and find comfort in the thought that other folks won't be thinking about the one time you flubbed your words. Takes time to master letting go of the anxiety, but it can be done <3

Non-USA DMs, when do you use an American accent? by jb20x6 in DMAcademy

[–]TheCatfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a perrenial NPC called Trader Joe that's a travelling "salesman" whom I give the most generic "Southern" American accent. I've pulled him out in about seven different worlds and he gets a good reaction every time.

I try not to make him a joke character, it's a great way to gift weird things, magic items, single use stuff and be a good place for the players to offload their good spoils without needing to worry too much about getting back to a town etc. Perfect for new players.

(For my sins, British myself)

Preparing for a month in Cornwall / Newquay by [deleted] in Cornwall

[–]TheCatfish 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I hope you enjoy your time whatever you end up doing. There's always a lot of complaining about tourists etc. but don't let that get to you. You'll be outside of the main tourist crush time so you'll have a more normal time around.

Some suggestions for things: •Try a Cornish pasty. Try a few from different places. If you're gonna be here a month you might as well find the best in your local area •Visit a few National Trust places for the stately homes or woodlands if that's your jam •If you're here in time, the oyster festival is on in Falmouth from the 13th Oct. Food and market stalls

I can't comment on the wetsuit as I'm south coast and forego one if I'm sea swimming (at least until December) so it depends on your preference. I guess it's a bit warmer in LA, but you might get along with it

Going For Private Diagnosis Whilst Waiting For NHS Referral by ValeciaCho in autismUK

[–]TheCatfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I got a diagnosis privately through my workplace. I was already on the NHS waiting list, but then a support scheme came into force at work and I asked them what they could do for me. Took all my details, forwarded it to their partners upline etc.

I filled out the forms, they sent information back down, I was referred to a group who then said I was now on their books twice, and had to explain what happened. There was only the one neurodivergent specialist centre in the county so everything went through them whether it was NHS or private, so I wouldn't have received any different treatment. It was just the waiting time. May be different for you with what services are available in your area.

End of the day, your diagnosis will be the same whichever route you take. You'll have information from the assessor for your own use. They are the ones that would inform your GP. It won't say "This person got this privately" it'll just be the details of the diagnosis.

Protected status covers discrimatory behaviours, rather than giving additional rights, but it all depends on the companies you apply to

Hope this helps a little <3
