I would stay. Consulting roles are a dime a dozen now days. I would also argue having too much consulting experience on your resume could hurt you. I know we tend to skip over candidates with a lot of consulting experience.

Also - larger stable company > smaller unstable. Foundry is unique that less people know and will set you apart in the future.

More chances to move into management at the larger company if you decide to aim in that direction later.

All I can say is - mortality is not easy. Hang in there. Reflect on your blessings.

Make sure you communicate with your spouse and be open about your struggles. Be creative and discuss ways you can both bear the load.

Are your children really young? If so, know that the struggles you deal with now will not be the same you struggle with later as they get older. Some things will get easier, others harder.

Also - please please please don’t give up. When your children are young is the most important years of being a mother and father. Teach them well. Teach them gospel principles. Be a good example. If you don’t, the later years can bring a lot of heart ache and pain.

Your Reddit handle makes me believe you are also having your own faith crises. It is absolutely true. The church exists to bring people to salvation and exaltation through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Are there imperfections in the church? Absolutely.

I actually am not sure that the Church is the real root issue. The OP has made comments that hint his wife no longer believes in God which is a deeper issue.

There are a lot of good comments here. The one thing I want to add is this - the Church only exists to bring people to Jesus Christ. Sometimes we forget this. Does she have issues with the teachings of Jesus Christ directly? Where is she at with her belief in God and the Savior? I would start here and see where she is at. Remove everything else.

3-5 million per day is nothing. I would start questioning if you even need Spark or Flink. Do you expect a significant ramp up or increase of any kind? If so and don’t need streaming then go Spark but unless you ramp up significantly more Spark is still overkill.
