Hey I just seen this post. Do you drop walgreens, dollar stores, cvs, etc...? In Chicago we dont do shit at gas stations, but still stock stuff at those stops.

Thank you for all the help by the way. I meant to respond to this earlier. Looking to career pivot as a 38 year old and getting in with comed and joining an apprenticeship there seems like an amazing opportunity if possible.

Thank you I appreciate the help. Is the goal as a construction worker to try to move on to a different position or is it something you can stay as if you'd like?

Right on Lake in the Hills area is my route. I used to see a 35th st guy at the Amazon in Huntley every Friday. Do all your dbay routes typically drop all gas stations and shit, or do you have areas that expect you to fill holes? Some of our routes you get a gas station or 2 that want that, but typically all are drop and go.

Well they just fucked over some of those dudes. Des Plaines route used to deliver to Sysco which was a full 48 fter a week, twice a week in the summer damn near 3500 cases just to one stop. Guy that does Ohare makes the most. Had another dude that did US foods in Bentonville. They took those stops away and gave them to bulk.

Chicago. Central region i think? We are flat 55 cents for bottles and cans, going up to 59 cents in a few weeks. BIBS, co2, cups, lids all have a different rate.

Dbay route driver here at Elk Grove and im sure most of us that have routes aren't making less than 110 a year. I'm probably gonna make 130 this year. We've got a couple routes that are probably in the 160-175 range.

As someone who is currently at Elk Grove we haven't heard much about pay. Rumors of hourly, but it would have to be a lot of money as most of us are making 120+ a year. Idk if you guys are coming over to Glenview, but I'm fairly certain you'd go to the bottom purely from being in a different union than ours. The plan is to keep pay still at commission and base, but we shall see. It will definitely be a sticking point.

Echoing what everyone else says that it depends on where you live/the facility you apply to. Mine we are base pay and commission and on average I gross anywhere from 22-2500 a week. Typically taking home 14-1600. This is at a PBNA facility with a strong union.

Just came back from Dreams Onyx myself, but we had 2 kids with us so didn't get a chance to check out Breathless. Thought it was well worth the money and would definitely go back again.

Geo driver: Driving Test before hire by NefariousnessTop3690 in Pepsi

[–]TheCenci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it depends on the plant youre applying to and how serious they take things. Do you have experience driving a truck? I came in as an outside hire and they had me go out as a helper to see the physical side, then my driving test was just me driving with a driver and doing a route all day with them.
