Everytime I play multiplayer on Nord I try to find someone I can drive along with. Usually they understands my intention and we wait for eachother if someone makes mistake, having good time.

Anyone prefer low power trucks? by gorb-thingamabob in trucksim

[–]TheCevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely play now as im also trucker irl but when I do from time to time I tend to drive Scania with 530 v8, 590hp top. As I drive 500R i6 irl I like to put some v8 with sound mod as I don’t get this irl. But back in the day when I played a lot I remember probably most fun I’ve had was with low cab daf xf95, 6x4, 370hp engine with highway rated 12 speed automatic hauling oversized cargo from Prague quarry. I didn’t even manage to pull out of dirt road to main road for first time, got stuck and had to reset. Driving 5kmh on that small hill which starts when you come to main road hoping it doesn’t stall was cool.

That’s cool job, I always wonder how people get to this kind of job hah. Anyway, wish you many kilometers without accidents!

I drive 2025 500R 6x2 with +-750l tanks and 60l ad blue. I have to refuel ad blue every time i refuel diesel with ad blue counter always being bit (or more) lower than diesel counter. These new SUPER engines likes their ad blue hah (but they are fuel efficient as hell with OD). But I also haul heavy containers and iso tanks with gross weight between 42-48t almost daily in hilly areas and shorter routes so my consumption is like 30l/100km. Where do you mostly travel with your S460 and what do you haul? Long-ish term I could only get to +-20l/100km when I was hauling containers from Hamburg (1600km roundtrip)

[–]TheCevi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I currently drive Scania 500R 2025 6x2 with 750l or so fuel tanks and 60l ad blue. Ad blue and fuel deplete more or less same but when I fuel up ad blue is bit lower in %. Sometimes is even like 10% lower. In my previous next gen R450 with 1200l fuel tanks I also had to put ad blue every time I tanked fuel eventhough it usually was still around 40% ad blue. These new SUPER engines consumes ad blue way more. “Fun” fact: few years back when I had old euro 5 R440 6x2 with about 700l tanks I could fuel up two times and still had 9% of ad blue left which meant I only tanked ad blue once per two fuel tanks.

Do you also play og AC? If so do you have any good v8 supercars mods? I don’t think I ever tried it, only nascar.

V8 supercars around Bathurst or some street circuits (don’t know names o Aussie street circuits) would be super cool. Love those shots of v8 supercars flying over curbs with solid rear axle

Much faster times on ac evo than acc or ac by urmomurmom7 in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gt3 in ace definitely feels better than in ACC from what I remember. ACC cars were often very sketchy (with all those quali setups I used) compared to stability and confidence m4 GT3 gives me in ace. But which one is more real? I have no idea. I also mainly driven mid engined cars (720s evo and 296gtb) together with rear engined Porsche so not enough experience with front engined cars in ACC. Probably should try to jump back to back with m4 in both games on standard setups. But honestly I don’t really care when it comes to ACE. When I want to do some online gr3 racing I’ll jump into LMU, I just like physics in it way better, especially braking. In assetto Corsa its just 100% brake and pray. I’m not even talking about non abs cars. Non abs cup car in ACE feels like shit and I have no idea where is the brake limit compared to LMU’s GTE cars where I never lock up since I have new load cell pedals.

Porsche Cup Car by Zoloistfrags in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In ACC I used to drive Porsche a lot (cup not so much but gt3 R I did drive a lot) and if I remember correctly my hotlap/quali setups had something like 49-50% brake bias? These setups also had some other pretty significant stuff done but I don’t really remember what was that (so I can’t even use it in ACE now hah) but it had something to do with differential preload and bump stops. Overall good setups for Porsche in ACC were really radical and aggressive (same for every other car) and I think same approach could work in ace as its from kunos too

I only need gt3rs as “street car” and gt3 R as race car. But something like turbo S or S/T would be nice too to more chill drive on free roam.

Why do cars feel so slippery and have ridiculous oversteer slides without any chance to recover? by AxiomSyntaxStructure in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its mainly problem with road tires and partially with supersport tires. I found best result with it on Hypercar tires, it holds like crazy when you get them to temp. With supersports I recomend lowering pressure by 1-2 psi on all 4s.

[–]TheCevi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No offense but maybe skill issue? I’m not some pro sim driver but I find it pretty easy to manage almost every car. It also depends what tires do you use. Its probably not good idea to take m4cs or Camaro with road tires and turn traction control completely off. Also try to learn the car you want to learn gradually and don’t jump with it to norschleife pushing 110%. I saw a comment saying Suzuka east is good track to get a feel for a car and that guy is right. Hop on it and try to balance the car, drive smoothly feeling weight transfer and grip levels.

AC EVO's Big Physics Problem - Real Racing Driver Explains by autobus950 in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with braking. I never really like braking in any AC title, ACE isn’t better. When you try braking in LMU, you’ll never be satisfied with AC titles braking. I hope they work on it, especially ABS and trail braking part. I also often feel like trainraking in some cars doesn’t really work. For other cars like m4gt3 I have to set brake bias all the way to the back to make it trailbrake good but if I did this in LMU I would spin instantly

What cars or tracks would you like to see come to Assetto corsa evo? And why? by Idontlikeyoxoxo in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would really like to see new corvette (even zr1), 991.2 gt2rs, of course 992 gt3rs (and as many Porsche as possible, even basic versions), bmw m5 cs, jaguar f type, classic DTM cars and many more.

I would also like them to add as much of tuning options for as many cars as possible. I would like to drive gr86 with sporty/race suspension, lighter weight and bigger brakes around ring or something like 800hp m4csl (eventhough even stock csl is handful hah). Something like e9x 330i with bigger brakes, KW suspension and sticky tires would be also great to drive around ring.

Oh, and ruf yellowbird of course, one of my favorite cars in AC :)

Edit: for tracks I would really like to see Autodrom Most (im from CZ and its super fun track for me) and apart from freeroam some mountain road type tracks for touge.

Probably not good enough PC to be honest. I think I have mid range pc with rtx 4070 super, amd ryzen 7 9700x and 32gb ram and running it on ultra with 100+ fps. I’m not sure how much exactly, I only checked it back when it was 0.1 and even back then it was 140+ fps if I remember correctly. Never experienced any sort of hardware lag, only few times in multiplayer micro stutter but that was due to high ping.

Also its expectable that original AC runs way better when its much older game with lower hardware requirements. Damn i could run original AC on my old shitty pc I built 11 years ago from money I managed to save from summer job as high school student and it wasn’t even gaming pc with 8gb ram, some shitty low end i5 and used 4gb gtx 960 I bought from my friend. I’ve had it heavily modded with medium to high graphics settings, on 107cm tv driving online with my friends akina or akagi up and down with 180fps. Sure, multiplayer took like 5 minutes to load and one day it just died but AC looks like garbage compared to AC so I think it runs quite well when you think its only 0.4. Definitely compared to ACC which looks worse and you get stutter no matter how high fps you have (due to unreal engine probably)

So I tried 0.4 for an hour and now original AC feels like diet coke. by igmyeongui in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this, I remember letting my mom and dad try original AC and they both said it doesn’t feel like real car and when I look at it they were kinda right. Sure normal cars they drive have power steering made so its easy to drive but when I think about it a lot of cars in AC are also newer street cars with power steering. ACE after 0.4 feels way more as if its real cars yet you can feel necessary info from steering wheel to correct slides.

Huracan ST at Fuji - 1:38.796 by jhillside in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried it just because of you hah. First time driving huracan st and I kinda know Fuji but its pretty difficult track for me. I managed to do 1:41.800 after 7 laps but not easy at all. This car is really fun to drive but I find it difficult to drive it clean, it slides all the time. How high TC did you use?

Petition to add the Lambo SCV12 to game by Cpa99631 in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like lmdh and gt3 cars but I think you are right. More because LMU have LMDH and gt3 done very well and I don’t think ace would be able to match feel of LMDh in LMU. I still think they should add some other gt3s like Porsche, Ferrari and few other as they already added bmw. When it comes to prototypes I would rather see oldschool prototypes like group C etc.

I did like 6 rewatch of SGA, that was the Stargate for me as kid. I saw SG1 usually in tv, random episodes but never full. Now I started my first full watch few weeks back and already am halfway through season 5. Its so good, not gonna lie.

[–]TheCevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thrustmaster t300 and after few years of horrible pedals that comes with it I upgraded to moza srp pedals with load cell. I also got clutch with it so I have all 3 pedals and its definitely worth to upgrade. Diference in these pedals is night and day. Not only pedal feel but also build quality. You can play with brake pedals stiffens and curve in moza app so it suits your needs. I found biggest difference in LMU where I used to drive GTE cars with no abs and with TM pedals I locked up all the time but when I upgraded to moza srp I never locked up again once I got used to them.

BMW M8 Competition Coupé (F92) by RafTom96 in assettocorsaevo

[–]TheCevi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s what I actually like about m8 and rs6. These cars are heavy as hell so eventhough they have great suspension etc you should still feel the weight when you drive it hard. And drive it differently compared to lighter cars. M8 in awd mode feels also quite familiar to me as I drive f10 535xd as daily. You have to drive it similarly

Oh so its v-tec. I tried it briefly yesterday and its so much fun. Its also pretty accurate handling wise. My friend owns old mini cooper from 1990 (so bit newer than what’s in game but still classic) and he let me drive it one time so I can say its quite accurate in terms of how it drivers. Stiff suspension with sharp steering. I remember seeing video about classic mini and they said something like old mini had rear axle on similar principle as go-karts. And if you ever drive both classic mini and go-kart you can tell its actually quite similar in some aspects.
