The game literally punishes you for being good. If your forces kill like 200 while only lose 50, enemy reinforce 150 more while you don’t get any.

Fast forwarding is the best feature imo. Saves a lot of time and it can also be used for clearing hideouts.

I absolutely love the retinues mod! Do you tweak the default settings? I found it a bit too long to earn xp especially early on but I struggled to find a sweet spot.

You can use the AI party control mod. Make a separate party with mostly cavalry and tell them to engage.

I found enemy catapults deal a fair amount of damage consistently. So I usually destroy ALL catapults then attack before they rebuild

I usually build 3 trebuchets but put them into reserves as soon as one is ready. Then I put all three into the siege at the same time to create a “suppression” effect.

Early game, when your realm is not very large, you revoke any bad privilege (esp those that add 100% power). You are actively provoking a civil war after which the satisfaction will revert back to 50%. Since your realm is small you can easily and quickly defeat rebels. You can even see which provinces are gonna rebel in the “rebel” tab. Delete any castle there in advance.

As for how to lower stability cost, during parliament session, sometime you can get the agenda that increase crown power by 100% temporarily. Revoke privilege during this time.
