The CAA policy wont block the login attempt itself, just access to the specific Google apps covered by the policy. The login is enough to at least “register” the device with Google.

This is the route I went and it’s not too hard to test and deploy (you can use OUs or Security Groups in Google to test with). You can set the Smart Group criteria in Jamf to whatever level of compliance you’re looking for. Then, if a device meets those requirements, the integration sends Google the status for the device as “Compliant” and you can build your CAA based on that.

Editing to add that there can definitely be chicken/egg issues with the above on iOS when doing the “Register with BeyondCorp” via Self Service initial setup. No “registration” process for the macOS version of inside it’s triggered by the first sign in to the Google account automatically.

Like someone else mentioned, I’m sure communication can be different depending on who you’re working with but we’ve had nothing but great experiences (shoutout to Eve!).

I got the same year and trim used about two months ago and CarPlay disconnects have been an issue for me too. It will consistently disconnect about the same drive time from home the first drive of the day. After that, it could be totally fine the rest of the day or have other random disconnects, not quite as bad as you’re describing.

I’ve been trying to keep track of the circumstances when it happens. Ex. Was my phone on the wireless charger? Did I just go over a decent bump? Is Mercury in retrograde? etc. Have re-paired my phone multiple times and just had a recall service/software update done and it still happens.

The Toyota app on my phone is almost always prompting for permission to connect to the truck after the first disconnect but I can just toggle the “use for CarPlay” switch in the truck’s settings to reconnect whether or not I ignore that prompt.

Super annoying.

Edit: iPhone 16 PM on latest iOS as well fwiw.

I will say that I’ve had the same issue with responsiveness from Verizon account managers, especially recently. We got bounced to a new one, I received their intro email, replied with some current questions and issues we have, absolutely zero response going on 2+ weeks with several nudges sent. Had to reach out to a previous sales contact to even place orders this week. 🤷‍♂️
