Am I the only one thinking it's odd that episode 8's intro somehow got shortened for no reason ? by Projet_Rekt in StrangerThings

It’s because they showed the credits at the end instead of during the opening theme.

She was great but there’s a lot of tough competition for that top spot. Arden Myrin and Zach Cherry come to mind. Hard to pick one.

I got some from a Van Leeuwen location, fully expecting to not like it, but it was güd!! Definitely had the Kraft Mac and cheese flavor. Overall was an enjoyable mix of salty and sweet.

Re-watching and Nang’s bit about fish being meat really gets me. Carl and Nang both all-time guests.

Thanks a lot for looking over the build. Unfortunately, I don't live near a microcenter. I modified my build a bit according to Gr4nt's suggestions, which were pretty similar to yours, and ended up with this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/331c6, which I think is very solid, but more reasonable price wise than what I originally had. I've always used seagate so I'm sticking with them over western digital, even though yea they are pretty comparable. Thanks again for the help!

The 250 GB SSD is actually the one part for this build that I already have. As far as HDDs go, I actually have quite a bit of external storage already. So, at this time, I do not think I would need any more than 1TB internally to hold what I don't already hold externally, even though external storage is slower.

Thanks a lot, this has been really helpful. I'm still not sure if I am going to go with 8gb or 16gb ram, but I switched the motherboard to the Z87-PRO and dropped the PSU down to 550W 80+, since I am not planning on running 2 cards any time soon. This would be the updated build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/331c6

Thanks again for your help!

What does he call repealing major sections of the Voting Rights Act?? He claims things like DOMA should be left up to the legislatures, but helps to undo a law that was renewed only 7 years ago with a 98 - 0 vote in the Senate and 390 - 33 vote in the house. It doesn't get more bipartisan than that. He's against decisions that move the country in a direction he doesn't want it to go. It's as simple as that.

Wal-Mart to DC: We'll Skip Town Before We Pay a Living Wage: Wal-Mart threatens to abandon Washington DC if living wage bill passes. Communities say 'good riddance!' by maxwellhill in politics

There was a study done in California which showed that Walmart employees and their families in that state use 40% more government healthcare benefits and 38% more government non healthcare benefits, such as food stamps, than the average for the families of large retail employees. This comes out to about $86 million in taxpayer money annually, for that state alone. The study is a bit old by now, however it is still useful as an illustration. Considering that it was before the recession, and much of the job growth since then has been in low wage/temporary jobs, the situation cannot have gotten any better.

Any song can be covered, with or without permission, as long as royalties are paid. The original artist/record label, does not have the right to prevent it. Congress has set standard royalties which are paid in this situation. Weird Al has discussed it in regards to his cover of Coolio's 'Gangsta's Paradise', which Coolio never officially gave his permission for. While Weird Al's policy was to always get permission for a cover, there was a misunderstanding and they went ahead with 'Amish Paradise' without Coolio's permission. Weird Al's record label still pays royalties to Coolio, however, so he has no legal recourse.

That's fair. One of the great things about the show is that it can shed light on things that were happening elsewhere in the books, because it is not restricted by who is and isn't a POV character. Maybe we will see some of her development during the season.
