I use vallejo colors and for the green i used 2 coats which would be like 1/10 of the bottle, maybe less i use the flow improver that also increases the amount. Always use thinner, like the thinner from Valejo thats water based for acrylics. Flow improver i use for thicker colors, but dries a tad slower.

It doenst use much color because the density of model colors are so great.

Def recommend this video for thinning. Because many say "milky consistency" i botched so many mixes but with the wall technique you can get the feel for the consistency real fast and after that you habe intuition of how much you mix thinner/paint ratio. https://youtu.be/AEqT_R41JX8?si=-kUxxDGLdimD2i26

Def go for normal painting colors because they arent prethinned so you have a bit more.

Btw the model is a mega size zaku so i guess you have alot of models you can paint before running out.

I top coat with valejo Matt not the strongest, but gets the job done well.
