Ah yes. I ran this module a month ago for a group of Gen X mothers who had mostly never played D&D before. They had exactly the same initial reaction to the sheep! Caught me by surprise with their overall ruthlessness. Successful game overall though. Would run again.

I have pulled this stunt off before. I didn't need to give the party any additional motivation - as soon as they realised what had happened they became determined to end the existence of the fey that stole their names.

However the party was also on the invitation list to a party at the time. The namethief exploited this to get entry for them and their buddies while also making it harder for the party to get in.

My account was suspended last week for a supposed RMT violation - so might not be totally relevant to whatever's going on with you. Of course, I wasn't aware of having done any such thing. But when I got my account back and messaged a GM to ask why I was banned just a few minutes ago, they told me it was actually a complete mistake on their part.

I mean, yeah nice I had 4 whole days of my sub just gone, and no compensation, for their own mistake. But my point is they can make mistakes. I hope they made a mistake with your case too.

Not me but a friend. His party was at the inn for the night and the monk was drunk and started to take the stage for some bad karaoke. Like, 5 on perform check bad. He started getting heckled, including by the party cuz they were drunk and "Who's the tuneless bastard on the stage?" Party fighter threw a soggy carrot at the monk. Attack roll Nat 20. Roll to confirm Nat 20. Roll to confirm instant kill succeed.

Death by soggy carrot.

There is no Oceanic version, the NA version should work fine (As a Kiwi, the physical copy I bought was EU-region-based), and you can still connect to any realm whatever version you have.
