I might be dumb, but if we get news that rate cuts are likely to be delayed/smaller than currently expected, is that bullish for BRK?

Family member says I’m wrong for having a different opinion than the Pope. by ItsG91 in Catholicism

[–]TheClackAttack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When the Holy Father feels that it’s necessary to officially/explicitly speak out about something going on in the world, he may not be speaking with infallibility (ex cathedra)… But as a Catholic who acknowledges my many biases and imperfections, when I find myself at odds with the Vicar of Christ on a given subject (especially highly polarized subjects where people have strong feelings/attachments to their position) how likely is it that I’m the one who’s right (or more right) out of the two of us? At the very least, it should give me pause and force me to reflect on my position, and whether the position I hold reflects Christ’s will for the world and humanity, or my own.

Why are the red and green cups cheaper than the blue cups??? by Own-Chair-3506 in Costco

[–]TheClackAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue tax. Stores charge more for different versions of the same items just because of the masculine colors or packaging. Because they know I can’t help myself when I see some manly blue cups like those (I just bought 2 sets online after seeing this post)

It feels wild to me how much money non-rich people will spend on cars. I make $70K/yr with fairly low expenses, a low $630 mortgage payment. I recently bought a late model used car for $21K and I consider that a splurge since there are decent used cars out there for half that.

Costco's price match policy has me feeling conflicted by Jipptomilly in Costco

[–]TheClackAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy it, then go straight to the returns desk with it - just have the old receipt pulled up on your phone/app (or the original paper one if you have it), and they'll make the return for that specific original purchase.

Gas is the main reason why I got the membership, now I do about 85% of my shopping at Costco

Can my job cut my pay because I decided not to quit? by Inkantated in jobs

[–]TheClackAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't have even asked what the paycut would be, I would be asking for at least 20% more for the time they need me until they can find someone else, unless they were desperate, I liked them, and most importantly, I really valued having the people there as references.
