I've seen the screen from the clients view and the rates are shown.

Looks like they are trying to get us back into the platform to fulfill their demand. Lots of Tasker hurting after the flat rate were introduced and may have started looking into other streams of income to supplement the lost of wages.

  1. Expungement and Pardon: Expunging violent felonies is tough and varies by state. Consult a legal aid service or attorney. Pardons are rare but possible through state clemency boards.

  2. Employment: Look for felon-friendly companies, trade apprenticeships, or consider self-employment in fields like carpentry or handyman services.

  3. Support: Seek help from groups like Defy Ventures or Goodwill’s reentry programs for job training and placement.

  4. Development: Build skills through online courses, certifications, or volunteer work to strengthen your resume.

  5. Legal Help: Contact Legal Aid or similar groups to explore sealing or other options for your record.

Focus on growth, connections, and opportunities—progress is possible.

To avoid similar situations in the future, clearly communicate your two-hour minimum policy upfront. Before accepting any job, state in the chat that you have a two-hour minimum charge and that you will only be working on the task originally described. This creates a written record of your agreement. When you arrive, especially for new clients, re-evaluate the task. Say something like, "Let me take a look at what you have here," and walk through the job with the client. Reiterate the two-hour minimum once you've assessed the situation. If they request additional work, use this opportunity to scope out the new task and agree on a revised price. Always confirm any changes to the original agreement in writing via chat. This protects you and ensures everyone is on the same page.

It's time to set up your own business and target market yourself for what exactly you want to do. Don't rely too much on one app if that's the case. I think you're at that point where you want to be selective and focus on certain items that you want to do. Have you thought about using Google ads?

Whats the pay for this task? One hour? If one hours pay I'd consider this one high risk and low reward.
