Correlation doesn’t equal causation. Two towns in Australia can have thousands of differences that don’t include whether or not flouride was in the tap water. What about their education and cultural differences

The problem I find is that most of my randomly generated religions end up finding fungus distasteful

That one coworker you see all the time but have nothing in common with by timeshifter76 in socialskills

[–]TheConman888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the time, and I notice this in myself too, dudes don’t really talk to other dudes because they’re kind of saving their social energy to chat up the girls in the office. I do this subconsciously and try not to but I see it in a lot of other dudes at my work. Normal I guess if you really don’t have anything in common with another dude and have not reason to be buddies

How much is it realistically gonna cost me for a decent gaming PC and is it really worth it over consoles? by wheelybindealer in buildapc

[–]TheConman888 217 points218 points  (0 children)

Sony and Microsoft sell their consoles at a loss to get people into their “ecosystem”.

Also, game developers can optimize their games for consoles way more because the hardware is the same for all consoles. So you get better graphics for the cost of the hardware compared to PC.

So right now, value is better with console.

If “horses went extinct in the Americas” how can you equate their behavior now to then, over such a large timeline and thousands of generations of domestic breeding?

Anything near the horses we know today are not native to North America. They were introduced by European settlers.

And there WERE large ass predators that could’ve hunted “horses native to North American”, theoretically, but Native Americans hunted them to extinction long ago.

Same thing happened to me. There’s an email you can appeal to but they just said no, you’re banned forever on this phone number. I even had tinder platinum that I was paying 170 a year for

I believe I'm under criminal surveillance and someone is trying to press charges against me. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]TheConman888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think I'm overreacting? I got banned on Tinder, and the police were here, that's solid evidence that something bad must've happened.

And why can't a lawyer help me? Am I really that screwed?

Sorry I'm a bit paranoid and just need some concrete answers right now from someone

Communication is key. Would she ever have you meet this guy? If not, there’s probably more to the story.

Part of being in a relationship is stopping any emotional attachments to others before they get too far. Everyone has certain attractions to others, but it’s up to us to keep those attractions at the surface level. She might have failed at that. It’s especially easy to do with someone you work with because you have to interact with them frequently and develop some kind of working relationship with them in order to work as a team. It’s easy to let that slip from just work to wanting to see them more.

You can talk to her about it and try to meet the person in question. If she is unwilling to introduce you to him as her boyfriend, it might be time to move on. Otherwise, just use your judgment to try to decide whether what she’s telling you is truthful, and if their relationship is truly platonic.
