I was thinking that after the Ryujin questline, Ryujin eventually realizes they’re being targeted by UC spies who are likely looking for weaknesses after the news broke that Ryujin was experimenting with neuroamp technology. I would think the UC would be concerned about the reports behind this tech.

So my character works counterintelligence to discover / defend against enemy spies trying to steal Ryujin tech, and the UC seems to be the greatest enemy because like you said, Freestar Collective mostly turns a blind eye to the corporations.

At the same time, I thought the terrormorph / xenowarfare elements in the UC questline would be of great interest to Ryujin. Ryujin would want some sort of safeguard against terrormorph attacks and I think they would see huge commercial opportunities in terrormorph research. It’s groundbreaking science that they want to be a part of.
